I think Jam&Lewis did Better Jams overall with Cherelle but Janet&them had Better Album Material overall&the timing was just right.A Jackson&Minneapolis SOund Coming at the same time wrapped the 80's up.

In my eyes Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis simply took Prince's sound and put Janet's voice in front of it. What is my angle for thinking that? She had an album out before she hooked up with J&T. It was only when they gave her Prince sounding music did the world take notice.
