John Lennon- War is Over

I know this song is way overplayed this time of year. But this is my all time favorite christmas song cool (Besides Another Lonely Christmas & What Christmas Means To Me)

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Love this song! One of my favorites too, other than All I Want For Christmas, this is the only Christmas song made in the past 40 years that can be called a classic.

Not even Plastic Ono Band or Imagine?

not really....I remember when I rented a john lennon benefit concert from the library over 10 years ago and there was only one song that I liked....it sounded sort of like the beautiful ones but that is about it and I borrowed a john lennon greatest hits cd from this guy but couldnt finish the cd and gave it back to him....why do people consider john lennon so smart in the first place?

now, tomorrow never knows is one smart track but that was because of the arrangements and the production.

Lennon was a symbol, didn't really matter if he was smart or not.

He was a weird enigma.

An individualist, a feminist (before it was popular,) a revolutionary,

And a pragmatist.

He was no angel.

He was just one of the few people that earnestly thought a peaceful world was achievable.

A weird amalgam of Walt Whitman, Ralph Emerson, John Donne

Read up on him, then give him a chance.

And we are the dreamers of dreams...

[Yeah let's keep the thread on topic which is about the song posted by the OP. If you want to discuss homosexuality, then create your own thread on the topic. Quit derailing the thread with posts that have nothing to do with the song posted by the OP, thanks. - luv4u]

I bought the beatles magical mystery tour cd years ago and used to have a roommate back in 2002 that would hate it when I blasted blue jay way because I loved the beat to that song because it sounds very similar to raseberry beret. I also rented all the cds like rubber soul, revolver, please meet the beatles, yellow submarine, abbey road, and hard days night as well as others in which I studied all of those cds and what they were doing with the music and no one can take away the fact that they were good songwriters, thats for sure.
