If you think about it, only DeBarge (though in the 80s) and Gerald (same as Eldra) hand't hage huge hits in the 90s at that point? Tony's never had a top ten his I don't think. PRetty Brown Eyes was a top ten hit, but Stockley on his own wasn't known. Tevin Campbellmight have been the biggest at that time from this collectin of artist.

Unless you're talking about Top 10 R&B, lol then disregard all of that.

i mean this was 94 right? so the guys in Boys II Men where huge, R. Kelly just had 12 play, Age Ain;t Nothin But A Number & his self titled about to come out.

here is the song as performed on the American Music Awards. I love how El looks at Tevin like "WTF is wrong with you" when Tevin tries to take over the song. And notice how Usher tries to show out on the song and is pretty much ignored, like "Boy sit your young ass down."

Almost 20 years later, the only 2 who aren't still with us are Dino and Gerald LeVert. (Aaliyah and Left Eye are the ladies who have passed on from Panther's "Freedom.")

This came out in 94-D'Angelo was 20 then. It may have been recorded in 93-he would have been 19

It did, #5 to be exact. Guns was referring to the Hot 100, because he isn't old enough to remember a time when a gathering of huge current R&B artists wasn't a guaranteed crossover success.

It got a lot of play in my neck of the woods
