Seapunk movement...WTF???

I saw some kid on tumblr that posted a rant about it. So...I googled. Apprently, its mainstream stars are Azelia Banks and Rihanna (who adopted the genre for her SNL perfomance). Seapunk purists also hold resentment towards the afromentioned. Somebody named Bebe Zeva tweeted this about Azelia: "imo, if u support azaelia banks in any capacity, u support capitalist exploitation & the reinforcement of a classist system". I've googled and youtubed this movment, and all I see are bad 90's screensaver graphics, and a longing for 90's house music. Can anyone who has more understanding about this sub genre please cure me of my ignorance?...lol

Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
Thank You SO much Saint Expedite for your help smile
Thank You Virgin de Guadalupe for helping my friend smile
Thank You Saint Anthony for returning my wallet to me untouched smile

I thought it was all about blue-green hair, and reviving the 90's styles shrug I'm not too hip though, so don't take my word.

If you will, so will I

Yes that sounds like it's earned the "punk" in its genre name.
