Jermaine Jackson ~ Little Girl Don't You Worry You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I finished watching the Victory Tour some time ago and it was a really great show. The other brothers are talented in their own way.

I want to get the "DAK" system, but I don't know. But, your right, cause i don't think they'll ever bless us with cd copies of those albums. Which is funny, cause they seem to keep releasing "Let's Get Serious".....

How much are you willing to spend?
Here's a link to some of the best USB's turntable USB's - http://vinyl-converter-tu...views.com/
Here's the Numarck - http://www.numark.com/product/ttusb
I've own the Numarck, Audio-Technica LP120, and at present ION Profile Pro. My daughter took my A.T. LP120 which out of the 3 is the best and I recieved the ION as a Christmas gift. The thing is, these turntables sound as good as the set-up connected to your computer and the computer itself. It's going to download as a MP3 though you could convert to FLAC or WAV file. In most instances sometype of software to clean up the clicks/pops in records will be needed, Audacity is free. All of these turntables come with software to transfer (with the exception of A.T. if I recall) to iTunes automatically. I own the ION Profile, it's cheap but it does have a diamond needle, the platter is made of plastic but it has shock absorber rubber feet and I haven't had any issue with vibration. You have to manually lift up the arm but that's old school to me. It gets the job done, I use Audio Resotration software to clean up my records.
I have my ION hooked up through a Mac which allows you to use freeware software LineIN... I can listen to my records even if I don't want to upload them. My Mac is up hooked up to 50 watts/subwoofer speakers and DAC AudioEngine D1. If you use Windows via USB then you can listen to your records without recording via Audacity, just don't press record/upload button.
Less get a pic of what silkman is talkin' about.....
Nice I've heard nothing but good things about this turntable. I just needed something to transfer files via computer. I still have my Grundig Mandello, to thump and bump my recorders on.

Oh honey, don't you dare get rid of those pops and clicks. That's what makes it vinyl and sound authentic. As for having to lift the arm, that's a good thing. I notice it has pitch control so that means it's a DJ turntable. A DJ doesn't want an automatic arm because he couldn't cue the records with one. Andy is a four letter word.

A vinyl purist through and through; this is a debate my brother and I get into all the time.
The thing about my setup in my music room, USB turnable plugged into notebook... sounds good but you are never gonna to replicate the sound of my Grundig Mandello console. I only clean up songs that go onto my iTunes/iPod and sometimes YouTube. The pops and click don't bother me, its the hiss that drives me crazy... I have some records that are so bad you can't hear the music.

By hiss, I'm wondering if you're talking about how some records will have sections in them, especially at the beginning of the song, that sound like static in a radio station where the knob isn't tuned quite right. The only records I've ever encountered this on are 45s, and not all 45s, just certain 45s. The 45s that have a dull surface or finish on the grooves of the record. Check out some of your 45s sometime and you'll see what I'm talking about. Most 45s on the Warner Bros., Motown, and a few other labels, have a very shiny and clear surface or finish on the grooves of the record just like an album or 12 Inch single does. However, most 45s on the Columbia, Epic, and Arista labels, have a dull finish on the grooves. I have so many 45s on those labels to where you hear a hissing static sound for a few seconds right before the song begins and maybe for a second or two after the song starts. Usually from where I've spun the record backwards to cue it. Pull some of your 45s and look at them and you'll see what I'm talking about. Andy is a four letter word.

Nah, it almost sound like someone put a very thin piece of cloth or dirt over the speakers or record, its primarily the records in mine and my dad's collecttion we carried out and about. I've even done the wood glue cleaning trick, helped a bit but there's still vinyl hiss throught the song(s). Yeah, on some of my 45 this is an issue also, I'm going to do you you've suggested. Thanx.
Talking about cleaning up a record for YouTube: When Nick Ashford passed away a couple of months ago I downloaded something real quick. Later with my Audio Restoration software, I uploaded it again, "cleaner version".
