For My Fans Of Rock, Metal etc.

Yall been sleeping on Alter Bridge doe

I know at first glance they may seen like another butt rock hybrid int he vein of nickleback, breaking benjamin, 3 day's grace etc.

But these guys can fucking play!, first off Myles Kennedy(Who now plays with Slash) Is a guitar mad man & has serious chops & Mark Tremonti from Creed believe it or not is a great player to.

He just didn't have time to shine in that shit band he was in before lol

Checkout these tracks & listen to those solos! seriously underrated rock band of the last decade

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Sorry but I will never be able to forgive Tremonti for his role in bringing Scott Stapp to the world's attention.hmph!

I am open to more suggestions. It very much saddens me that hard rock/heavy metal has fallen to the lows that it is currently at and if there are any new/unheralded bands out there I should check out let me know.

I agree w/ rialb. Not a Creed/Stapp fan at all but some of Mark's stuff is OK.

It's funny how the modern country artists of today look and sound more "old school" rock than the so called "rock" bands of today are.

TOTALLY off topic & i apologize.

But i recently dug out my Blind Melon debut album that i have had sitting on my ipod for years. I forgot what a good album & i recall a thread you where in about them recently.

Many people also don't know Shannon sang background vocals on Don't Cry, You Ain't The First, Live & Let Die as well as The Garden from Use Your Illusion. I think there is another song he did background on but i forgot razz

You shouldn't be scared to admit that you enjoy the music of Creed. It takes much more courage to say that than it does to join with the majority who think they suck. wink

I never could get into Soup but the first album is pretty great. Glad to hear that you rediscovered it. At your suggestion I have finally acquired Astro-Creep: 2000 – Songs of Love, Destruction and Other Synthetic Delusions of the Electric Head (it is a mouthful but I like using the full title razz) and I've been listening to it quite a bit lately. Heck, I've even been buying the soundtracks that they made contributions to (Airheads, The Crow: City of Angels, Escape from Los Angeles). lol
