I Need You More Now Than Ever: Motown Jermaine Jackson of the Jackson 5 released a version on his second LP, 'Come Into My Life' in 1973
Paul Williams of the Temptations recorded his version first (I'm assuming) in 1972 but was never released until 2 years ago on a Motown compilation of vaulted tracks.
Both use the same instrumental track and were both produced by Clay McMurray.
Enjoy. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Thanks for this.
While I think Jermaine's version is pretty good, I'm feeling Paul Williams' version more. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

His voice has so much more soul in it. Grittier, funkier. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

As we all know now, Paul was goin through some things in his life around the time this song was recorded. His emotion was probably coming through this track.
Great track. I hope Motown releases all the Paul Williams material on a disc or two. PRINCE: Always and Forever
