I have tried to like Kid A but I just don't see the appeal.

IT'S THE ONLY RADIOHEAD ALBUM I CAN SIT THROUGH FROM START TO FINISH. AND IT DOESN'T SOUND AS "DESPERATE FOR RELEVANCE" AS THE BENDS OR AS TENDER/NERDY/DEPRESSING-DEPRESSED AS OK COMPUTER... IT SOUNDS...NEUTRAL...

SONICALLY, IT WAS PROBABLY THE MOST INTERESTING ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2000, GOOD MIX OF ALTERNATIVE ROCK+ELECTRONIC MUSIC

Everyone says they love it but do they really? Do people actually put that album on and regularly listen to it? I have my doubts.

I DON'T LOVE THE ALBUM, BUT IT SOUNDS GOOD FOR WINTER MONTHS...

What are your thoughts on Amnesiac? Most people see Kid A and Amnesiac as being very much connected.

I don't really have a problem with OK Computer being at number one, it is a pretty great album. I recently picked up the resissues of Pablo Honey/The Bends/OK Computer and I am loving all three, especially the b-sides discs. I just find it hard to accept that they went so far in the "experimental" direction. As "weird" as OK Computer was it still had catchy songs on it. I like them and think they are a great band but they are kind of similar to Bruce Springsteen in that everything they release is hailed as a masterpiece.

The thing about The Bends, in particular "High and Dry" and "Fake Plastic Trees" is that many of the popular British bands of the last ten-twelve years have made careers out of aping that sound. OK Computer is praised much more but I don't think it was as influential as The Bends. I can't think of any bands/albums that sound directly influenced by OK Computer.

Amnesiac? 2001's direct sequel to Kid A isn't it? perhaps a bit rockier, but pretty similar...

and I do agree that Bends is probablt their best/most influential album, that doesnt mean I'm a fan; Fake Plastic Trees sounds...well, FAKE

I hated Radiohead druing the 90s, since Kid A I learned to dig them, I still prefer their 00s material, bascially...
