Wal-Mart had region free DVD players for $30 a couple years ago. They didn't say they were region free anywhere on the box, though. People figured it out later.

Amazon actually has a good number of region free blu-ray players (which also play dvds) and region free/up-converting dvd players. Not so much luck with the SACD being included, though.

I have a combo VCR/all-region DVD player which was fine at the time I bought it for watching my European music DVDs, but I've found an increasing number of blu-ray discs I'd like that are only available overseas (Brotherhood of the Wolf being the biggest one). Talking about SACDs on this thread made me look into combining everything into one player. The only one I found was a very expensive Oppo BDP-93 model.
