I have this album.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I just saw this...a "42" Fan doing a cover of the "Good Man In A Storm" bassline...hope he doesn't mind, but I thought it was kool--I was just fumbling with that same line over the weekend ( and failing miserably)....

Good job.
He needs to get some lights in the neck of his bass though!

Wasn't Running in the family as commercial as this one? Lessons in love was HUGE back then, I own the album of course and the fabulous MAXI-Remix on vinyl.

Good call, Pali. "Coup D'etat" and "I Sleep On My Heart" slipped past most fans here in The States (the hits got all the airplay). Mr King whippin MUCH ass on both tho.

Yup, I should've said, "Their most commercial up to that point"...."Running" was even more commercial than "World Machine"....

True!

Now that I think back, I actually heard 'Coup de Tat' before the rest of the album--it was the b-side of the "Something about you" 12 inch....

and "I Sleep on my Heart" is still one of my favorites...
