You love to bring up Michael as to justify Janet and I was waiting for you to since you have a deep seeded problem with him.

Michael did his choregraphies FULL OUT on all the songs that had choregraphies including free styles although he did mime later on.

There was NO EXCUSE for Janet to mime her last tour and not dance like she did. The miming would not have been bad if she was at least dancing and not standing in the middle of the stage jumping up and down.

There is never any execuse for any artist to mime, even if they are older or addicted to drugs or whatever the case.

And I agree about her tour (although, she did do all the dance breaks and a good amount of dancing in comparison to the back up dancers, she didn't just jump up and down)

If you really want to discuss HIStory (or even Dangerous), we can, but I was just using him as an example. I can't think of any other artist that fits the example apart from MJ, Janet & Britney (Although the latter took it to a whole other level) - can you?

[Edited 8/10/12 12:23pm]

Oh BULLSHIT thats just what your full of...

and no I do not want to talk about ANYTHING related to Michael Jackson with you. You have proven that you can not maturely and rationally have a conversation about Janet as well as Michael.

If that is what you think... so be it.

That's kind of hypocritical considering you attack and scowl upon anyone who speaks his name in a negative manner, even when justly so.

Are you kidding me?

You really need to grow up in your fandom with Janet in all seriousness.

You just trashed Michael TWICE in a conversation ABOUT Janet. lol

Yea thats immature because it shows you cant hold a conversation with someone constructively criticizing Janet without you talking about their favorite singer. This has NOTHING to do with Michael and the MJ example wasnt warranted at all really and I think your excuse was really just bullshit honestly.

You bring him up when its irrelevant to just to bash him.

And then expect for me to want to have a rational conversation with you about him when you can not have one yourself on him generally.

You mentioned drug use to indirectly insult him and mime in your last post to negatively bash Michael when this discussion is not about him..

Im not a hyprocrite. I havent once brought up Michael because this thread isnt about him, you feel the need to constantly bring him up in order to bash him...

I didn't realise there were hundreds of artists that have tours that contain high levels of choreography.

I wonder what possessed me to use MJ as example? Maybe because I dislike him so much, or maybe because he set a template for others like Janet & Britney to follow.

Paula Abdul is a trained dancer, (tap, ballet, jazz etc) Im sure if Janet was interested Paula would be more than happy to help her with her choregraphy. Janet has peaked as far as her dancing skills are concerned. So whether she keeps gil or not its not going to make that much of a difference. She should focus on artistically improving her music.

I agree.

But all of Janet's choreography has been far above the standard of every other music artist. I can think of no other artist that has matched the consistancy and innovation of her dance routines (apart from Michael obviously).

I see no reason for her to not to continue to persue better choreographers and routines. Make Me & Rock With U were still fairly impressive, considering.

I agree.

janet jackson 2012 e1344472423993 Call It A Comeback? Janet Jackson To Begin Rehearsals Next Week

When we interviewed Pop icon Janet Jackson back in May, she alluded to her musical comeback being in the most infantile of stages.

However, new Tweets from her longtime choreographer and creative director Gil Duldulao suggest the diva may have been somewhat modest about the status of the project.

See what we mean after the jump…

Writing on Twitter today, Duldulao wrote…

janet gil Call It A Comeback? Janet Jackson To Begin Rehearsals Next Week

With “Dunk” of course being the nickname Jackson famously garnered from her famous brother Michael, there’s little doubt as to who Gil was referring to.

What does remain a mystery, though, is what exactly Janet is to set to begin rehearsals for. A re-boot of her Number Ones tour? A new music video? Something entirely different? Who knows. Although, we’re uber rooting for it to center on a new music project.

I think this is great........

and focus on entertainment once again.......

I was able to attend her concert for the ALL FOR YOU tour

that show started at 8pm and didn't end until after 11 oclock...over 3 hours

and she brought it, song after song after song.....it was an awesome show

and she gave tribute to her brother Michael, something commercial media (not real media) chose to keep from the public, in particular current MJ fans

and it was a sterling tribute

What the hell is up with that mullet, Jan??

And Idk how I feel about Janet anymore. I'll probably go to her concert if she plays at a stadium near me...but I won't go out of my way to see it.

Ever since the family drama and her participation in it...I'm so disappointed in her. I'm still waiting for a plausible explanation for what happened. neutral

AGREED. I would not do a repeat of that tour...Disappointed by the miming since there was no dancing. Maybe she is more 'fit' now this time around, so if she mimes maybe she can dance. I prefer real singing and dancing, but hey I will at least take one given her age.

Make Me and Rock Wit U werent that good and the ONLY thing I liked about Rock Wit U was the floor work...... thats it.

The last impressive choregraphies were with Tina.

As far as Im concerned she should never stop dancing unless health prevents her but based on what I saw on that last tour she didnt seem to have the energy to do the dance routines full out.. not to mention she hardly even danced and she mimed the concerts..... that isnt good.

If your going to mime at least be doing the dance routines full out.

100% of Janet's shows are mimed. Janet hasn't performed a song LIVE since All For You tour. I do enjoy Janet's shows due to her energy and love for her music, but I wouldn't mind hearing a LIVE performance every now and then. I don't think her voice is strong enough to sing live every night without a vocal boosted pre-recorded track backing her.

Well, these are private matters. There is the artist Janet and the person Janet, two different things.

Yeah. What she does off stage and in her personal time is irrelevant to me when it comes to her music and performance.

Well of course she isnt known to be a live singer or vocals for that matter by any means but she always had entertaining shows. I just think she should have been doing those dances more full out and had alot more costume changes. I dont think her voice is strong enough either to sing live at all her shows and really dont care if she does I rather go to see her perform but if that is lacking there really is no point in wasting money.
