A few of them have talent but that talent isnt authentic or special like alot of them think in their heads. I dont get why they have to prove to the public what they THINK they are to people. They should just focus on being creative! Dont tell me you are authentic, SHOW ME! Anybody can say their original or unique but it doesnt really mean anything, its an ego boost for them
I have NEVER heard D Angelo or Fionna Apple make any comments like these and to me their music is what I would describe as authentic because it doesnt cater to a mass of people and their abilities are not one dimensional. | |

Trey is actually talented & can write & play music. He just is going along with the sex symbol trend like Prince(People in the beginning thought Prince was a fade & just sung about sex all the time when he was actually a musical genius) use to do whom he met & got some good advice from..Trey worked really hard to get where he is at & deserves his success... [Edited 7/21/12 12:01pm] will ALWAYS think of  like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

[Edited 7/21/12 12:01pm] Big differences with Prince and Trey, Prince grew from day one and there was much more to Prince when u dug into him, with Trey I'm not seeing growth I'm seeing sex used in every aspect of what he does which is cool but if u don't show another side u end up like all those rb groups of the 90s and so many rb males, Trey has a lot to learn befor a Prince comparison can happen, and if your stage act involves u grabbing a female and bringing her on stage and going down on her it gets stale because if a female artist did that shed be a whore as opposed to a male doing it being called creative expression. I'm not comparing Trey to Prince talent wise. Just image wise. NOONE! comes close to Prince he is a gifted musical genius that composes "MasterPieces".... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! No i get that, im comparing the images, Prince early on though there was the "sex" thing you could see other things within because he was diverse in everything he was doing, because i feel Trey and alot of others Like Usher are limited to their talents only have "take your shirt off" "im sexy look at me" image and when you dig theres not much more in the music, at least with someone like R Kelly though im not a fan by any means i cant deny there were levels to him and his catalog, not seeing that really from others. At the same time Prince was singing about sex he was also singing about politics, love and society. Trey is one dimensional, it's all sex with him. He has nothing else to offer. There's nothing wrong with that if that's what you want to portray but he should be humble and stay in his lane when talking about R&B. He's hardly making the kind of music his parents might have listened to growing up. Prince had sex songs but then there were songs like Annie Christian, 1999 or Ronnie talk 2 Russia to balance it out and show some diversity.
