What happened is that he never really grieved her death and as a result, he suppressed it and went nuts. I agree but I must say some of the new songs (3-4 I believe) he put out this year has been very underwhelming. I'm a big fan but I haven't been impressed with this recent music.

I think what happened to Kanyes mother was very very devastating and I exactly liked him musically when he first came out but I havent been all that impressed with him. His recent material makes me less and less and less of a fan. I just hope he pulls away from Jay Z's way of thinking music and tries to push himself more artistically.
