Tank, the r&b singer...what are your feelings about him?

I have never really been into Tank. I know some people that think he is the baddest male r&b singer around. I know he is opening the 15 city mega tour that stars Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The O'Jays, Patti LaBelle and Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds and I purchased his last two albums, but to be honest, I was not impressed.

What do the rest of you think of Tank?

Well dang, why don't you tell us how you really feel lol

I bought his first cd way back when (bootleg at the flea market) he had the 1 song and that's pretty much it for my Tank experience

Tank maybe nice to look at but he lacks charisma when he's on stage and his voice is not all that . He still hasn't found his niche in hip/hop r&b audience.

The name Tank suits him cause his career will tank if he dont get a hit record its been more than five years now.

I don't own any of his music, but I think he's ok. I liked the song he wrote for Aaliyah - "Come Over". His future may be in writing/producing other artists.

He's incredible to look at. His voice isn't bad. His music? Now, that's debatable. He suffers from the same infliction that so many people in the business with potential talent suffer from...crappy songs and appalling production.

On his last album, he recorded a very impressive version of "I Can't Make You Love Me". Did it sell? Nope! The album barely cracked the Top 10 on the R&B charts. That's not what his fans wanted to hear from him. So, for his latest album, he reverted back to a generic, contemporary sound throughout the entire disc and the album debuted in the #1 spot on the R&B/Hip Hop charts and I believe Top 10 Pop. I've always had the feeling he wants to sing more adult-oriented material but he's crumbling to the pressures of the industry and the consumer to sound more trendy. But, I'll take him over a Chris Brown anyday!!!!
