TRON

Several upcoming Bowie releases :D

Looks like he's going to have another very productive year. So far, these releases have been mentioned:

* Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture to be re-released on cd, dvd and vinyl. March 24

* Aladdin Sane 30th anniversary edition. Late April

* A live cd and dvd of the Berlin show at the Max Schmeling Halle on September 22 of last year.

* The new album that he's currently working on has a target release date of June-September of this year.

And, he has stated that he will tour again this year. In addition to the usual places in North America and Europe, he's also planning on touring Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

FUCK YEAH!!!

cool, Aladdin Sane is probably my favorite Bowie disc. Any word as to what extras will be on it?

glad to see him touring again... i've only seen him once, back on the Sound and Vision tour in '90. Haven't been able to since... I'd like to, though.. I though Heathen was a great record.

Ziggy don't like touring.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I hope everybody on this post got that 2 DVD set of rare live performances and official videos. But there are tons more professional shot live stuff that needs to be released, 1980 floor, live on Musicladen , etc. The similar 2 DVD the Jam live/videos is awesome too...

I'm just getting into Bowie. By now, Station to Station might be my favorite of his, but I don't know everything yet.
Are his 80s albums worth getting?
What about his online-club?

Scary Monsters('80) and Let's Dance('83) are good albums.
Tonight('84), Never Let Me Down('87) and Tin Machine('89) are not so good.

Just my opinion.
