Looks like it could be a great show, but "buyer beware" regarding the Pointer Sisters. They came through town two years ago and it was Ruth, Anita, and Ruth's grand-daughter. It was a good show, and I must admit that it was nice to see them moving-on since the death of June. Fast forward, a year later, and they came through again this past January. I was looking forward to it yet again, simply to support them on the tour and be the decicated fan I am. Trouble is, this last time, there was no Anita! She's been out dealing with cancer treatment. The concert promoters, however, never tell you that! So, it was little disappointing to go to the show and see Ruth, her grand-daughter again, and - this time - a daughter (although NOT the grand-daughter's mother, but her aunt). Why sell a show as the Pointer SISTERS, when none of them were sisters at all? They could have billed it as "Three Generations of Pointers" or brought in Bonnie, even. But, at the end of the show, right after the last song, I could have sworn I heard the announcer say, "Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the fabulous Pointer Sister!"... and he was right!!!!!!!!

Anyway - I love the Pointer Sisters, don't get me wrong. They all looked stunning, Ruth especially, and they all can SANG! I sincerely hope Anita is back with them and that they continue to tour so all their fans can relive just how great their songs were. Who knows, one could always hope for new material too!

I was aware that Ruth's grad-daughter took the place of June in the group some time back. I would be so disappointed not to see Anita perform. She (and June) are/were my favorites.

They should have billed it as "Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters".Jojo of the Mary Jane Girls tours solo these days, billing herself as "Jojo of the Mary Jane Girls".She appears onstage with two backup singers and it works fine.No false advertising lol
