(although the org has become a braindead place with no appreciation for quality music) i hope anyone else like this version of the Diana Ross classic.

I think its a nice rendition. I need to pay attention more often to this dame, so far the only thing I'm familiar with(and love) is her contribution to this ensemble,,,,

One of the reasons why I consider Miss E. So Addictive as my fave album from Missy.

This song was my introduction to the Clarke Sisters world, given that I don't listen to gospel willingly, I robbed myself from experiencing great artists. Those women(Clarkes and Yolanda) are examples.

Same with the woman in my avatar.

^(he clark sisters are legends and yolanda is well on her way to being one too. People that don't listen to gospel are missing out.

Is it DeeDee Warwick?

And nursey, i agree; there`s a lot of talent to be found in gospel music... Actually, i remember reading somewhere that gospel and soul are quite alike, you just change the word "baby" with "jesus" lol

Another gospel singer i want to hear more is Tramaine Hawkins

Seriously. There's no reason to be malice. All this bickering shit is unnecessary and a kill joy at that.

Well then there's no reason to start a thread in that manner. There are ways of appreciating music without bring others down. It reeks of pretentiousness, and is unnecessary. Such hostility would have not taken place if he/she had not started off by being hostile.

Hostile to who? I wasn't brought down, and neither were you, SC.

Hostile to who? Well, the entire org, basically.

"Hostile" doesn't equate to "brought down".

No. But it doesn't negate anything.

But I'll just leave ith there. No need to get in war over this.

I like this version of the song.

That was actually the best performance of that night as far as the Diana tribute went though I love this version with Ashford & Simpson and the late Teddy P:

Not necessarily because of vocals but just on the emotional thing that this was Teddy's first public performance since his accident.

And here he is performing the song pre-accident in London just right before his accident:

I guess i could have started the thread differently, just tired sometimes of MANY good threads getting no responds. What i meant to say was that the org has changed a lot in the last few years.

I can see how our old school orgers would think that. nod
