Drake - just a black Justin bieber? What all the fuss about Drake? I get he is cute and his songs are catchy, but isn't he a lot like Justin biEber with more grown up, somewhat darker lyrics?
Why are all the music magazines raving about his album take care? With spin calling it one of the best albums of the year? Id appreciate one of you who knows more about music to explain what makes him a standout! [Edited 6/9/12 17:51pm] | |

I can't say that I've ever heard a Drake song but I'm guessing it's just another case of the public supporting an artist with very little talent/substance but has a pretty face. A pretty face goes a loooong way!

His rapper affects (the hand movements, the sideways glances, etc) are fucking annoying.
He's nice as a lyricist but I like my rappers either hard as fuck (2Pac), a great story teller (Biggie) or intelligent (Nas/Common) and Aubrey's none of these. | |

Drake is ugly as fuck and the only songs I like from him are Take Care with Rihanna, Money To Blow and The Motto.
Dude is a complete joke. I can't believe his "singing" is taken seriously. I laugh when I here him trying. I bet its 10x worse live. He's the biggest joke of an artist since Milli Vanili imo.

I think Drake is ugly lol xD. He started off as an actor I believe in a show on MTV some yrs ago, if I'm not mistaken. He has no street credit, which is not really needed today anyways lo (not in mainstream music at least)l. His popularity is due to his lyrics that are of a higher standard than some other mainstream rappers and that he produces his own beats. He also got more hype with the songs he produced for Alicia Keys "Un-thinkable" & for his own album"Firework" in 2010. I also think that he gets more respect because his beats arent the typical "RedOne/David Guetta" productions, meaning very euro/house/electro sounding ones.... I dont like him tho..
