Lady GaGa manager on new album: 'It's an insane, great record'

Published Thursday, May 31 2012, 7:14am EDT | By Lewis Corner | 22 comments

Lady GaGa's co-manager Vincent Herbert has teased details about the star's third studio album.

The singer is currently working on the follow-up to 2011's Born This Way while touring across the world.

Speaking about what fans can expect, Herbert told That Grape Juice: "Just insane, great records. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record.

"Look out for the unexpected, when it comes to her - I'm very excited. We're doing it on the road right now, so it's very hard, but it's going to be great."

Lady GaGa is currently on the Asian leg of her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour, which sees the star dress up as...f the show.

I like Gaga and I hope her next album is great but wouldn't it be refreshing to hear people close to an artist say "I'm sorry but her new album really sucks. I advise her fans not to buy it, maybe the next one will be better."

It's their job to hype it up and ours to ignore it biggrin

lol Yeah, wake when there's a single. I can judge for myself. I see that the pre-game hype machine is starting earlier and earlier these days. Just release the freakin record already and let the people judge for themselves (not speaking of Gaga per say but in general).

I loved the Born This Way album. Better than the first two in my opinion. A good 10 tracks I say were jams.

Im going to hold my candle and doubt the next one will be better...rarely happens. I think that album is her peak in my opinion.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

The best thing Gaga and her team can do for this album, is to just drop it straight out of the sky no hype. Bad Romance came out with no hype what-so-ever and that was her most successful moment.

I fully agree but that seems to be a thing of the past now for most Pop artist. I guess the music isn't enough anymore confused

I think a tell tale sign is that they are making this album on the road.

Just ride out your exhausting, 250 date world tour, THEN take a much needed rest, THEN start writing THEN recording. Is that too much to ask of yourself?

I also agree just drop the thing no hype. Her creative peak is the Bad Romance project, both song and video. No overblown video she's done since has had the impact that that one has. And the song? Killer.

Well if the music was exactly good.... they might would not have to rely so much on hype...

Can anyone pinpoint the exact moment when overt hype took over as a form of PR?

I wanna say around the time of Justin and Christina's "crossover" projects.

Back in the day this type of hype was out of style because no matter how good a song or album is you just never know...

I was thinking the same thing what Smooth Criminal said. They even said that the album had Heavy Metal in it when it fucking didn't. lol

Born This Way was pretty good but it was too long (I bought the deluxe version but still) and the beats were too simular to each other.

Songs I like:

Judus

Born this way

Heavy Metal Lover

Fashion of His Love

Edge of Glory

Bloody Mary

Black Jesus Amen Fashion

I will always support Gaga, I love what she stands for and her music catchy as fuck.

STOKED FOR THE NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!
