After weeks of rumors, Britney Spears reportedly has agreed to become a judge on The X Factor.

E! News reports Britney signed a one-season contract this week that will pay her $15M.

A source close to the pop star says, "There's been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she's on. It's all completed and Britney is beyond excited."

Britney will join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at the judges' table for the Fox singing competition.

Former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were let go following the show's first season.

She should be getting lots of training and help behind the scenes, so I'm rooting for her.

I can't wait to not watch!

I'm not believing it until I hear official confirmation. ENews is not reliable.

No. The format of the X-Factor is four judges/mentors. One mentors girls, one does guys, one does groups, and one does people over the age of 25 (or 30 in the states).

Following months of speculation, Fox has finally announced thatBritney Spears and Demi Lovato will be judging the second season of Simon Cowell's singing competition show,X Factor. Both pop stars appeared at Fox's Upfronts presentation in New York on Monday (May 14) for the big reveal.

Before Fox executives could even make the announcement, Britney broke the news, tweeting a photo of herself with Lovato, Cowell and L.A. Reid, with the hashtags #BritneyXFactor and #SimonDemiBritneyLA.

The debut season of X Factor ended with major shake-ups, with two of the four judges -- Nicole Scherzinger, who reportedly pulled in $1.5 million and Paula Abdul, who netted $2.5 million -- leaving the show. It was reported a few weeks ago that Spears had nabbed a $15 million contract for the show, but the exact amount has not been confirmed.

The two pop stars will be asked to not only judge contestants on the reality show, but also to mentor a group of performers. The X Factor contestants are, if season two follows the same format as season one, divided into Girls, Boys, Over-30s and Groups, and then assigned a mentor/judge to guide them through the rounds of competition

So, they replaced 2 non-singing ass broads with 2 other non-singing ass broads. I can't wait til this shit gets cancelled!

All I remember about Karo was she seemed to be a ditz and she always was in a bikini or something (I saw pictures). As for Ellen, I don't know, she seemed too happy to get in Mario Lopez's shit the time he was on her show.

I know she's a Disney singer, but other than that I haven't heard a single song from this chick.

I know Miley, the Jonas Bros, and Bieber. She must be like B-C Level Disney star.

She's not as famous as Miley & Selena but she's the best Disney-vocalist since the days of Aguilera.

He just met Britney, Demi Lovato and others at a red Carpet event going on right now in the city

This girl ruined her voice somehow and sounded so nasally unlike her childhood days on disney. Hopefully she still has that sense of judging a good voice and not with her nasally whining in mind.
