Giving my two cents without taking sides....
Yes its true, mothers do give their opinions on the different decisions that their children make, especially when it comes to who their kids choose to date and/or marry. Sometimes the opinons are welcomed, sometimes they are asked for and sometimes people just need that "approval" from their mom that they are choosing the right person. Is it butting into the personal business of their son/daughter? Of course but that's just what parents do....BUT it's okay to disagree. My mom gives her opinion with me but she doesn't FORCE it on me. She lets me know this is how she thinks on the matter and then lets it go for me to make my own decision.
On the flip side, I totally get what Nurse is saying as well...life is way too short to be putting folks ahead of your parents. It also shows how much of a jelly fish backbone you have to be listening to your spouse as far as making decisions that involve your own blood. I think what Nurse is trying to say, IMO, is that despite if Ursha's mom didn't like Tameka, he should have still respected her opinion and still respected MOM over Tameka. I'm not saying he should had broken up with Tameka because his mommy said so, I'm saying that some of the decisions he made after getting with Tameka that negatively impacted his mother could have possibly been dealt with in a better way...because after all, people are here and could be gone tomorrow just like that.
I agree and nicely said. |

I was thinking about this and I feel like for an old grown ass woman to continue to do things like this is just sad. The man doesn't want her-he needs to pay her some money and they need to get to the business of raising those kids. I mean damn she has like five kids and she should be ashamed to tell somebody some shit like this. Usher too-he's too old for all this drama. |

I never thought Usher was that that sexy, his okay but he could have gotten any woman he wanted....
Tameka isnt hideous but average looking. Looks sometimes isnt everything to people... here are more nicer pictures of her...
I actually think Tameka is attractive except for when she gained all that weight from her pregnancy. She is a woman who gains all over and when her face puffed up, well...it just wasn't a good look. She looks great now though. Usher is not what I would call fine, not even with my eyes closed but he is talented and has appeal and I did find him sexy at one time. Bottom line, he knew what he had when he had her so I don't feel sorry for whatever he is going through with this chick. I doubt the new chick will bring him any more happiness. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

^ Usher has never been "cute," but I thought he was at least smart-apparently I was wrong and ole girl has always been tore up from the floor up. Those babies had nothing to do with that ugliness it was already there. Dude could've had any woman he wanted and he picked a chick with a ready made famiy |

And she abandoned the kids she had from her first marriage to be with Usher. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries." |

Just another sign that she is not all shes trying to make herself look like. No one can know wth Usher was thinking when he got with her, but the way a person treats their kids is always a clue. Usher use to be my third fav artist ever after Prince and Maxwell, but after the deal with his mom I lost respect for him. |

Ok something is missing cuz that oldest child wudn't born in no damned 2002! So she had a baby out of wedlock, then two more by Ryan and then another two by Usher. Is that right?
And gawd she a hairstylist from Oakland, Ca. The only ho's to top the one's in Atlanta are the one's out of Oakland. Even the LA ho's aint trickin' like that.

You can't put your parent above your spouse. To quote the bible, a man leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife. When you marry, your loyalty is to your spouse and kids
I didn't come in here to have a bible discussion in regards to Ursha's situation...so therefore I don't think you should bring the bible into this, for one, you are inaccurately quoting it and for two, the thread will be moved to P&R.
As a person who lost my father 11 years ago, I'm not silly enough to let some man come into my life and get stuck on stupid catering to them about every single thing, including issues or decisions with my parents. Yes when you get married or whatever, you are supposed to compromise but that in no way means that you are just supposed to forget about your parents and/or dismiss their opinions. There is still such a thing as RESPECTING your parents still even after you get married to whoever you choose. As I said before, there's nothing wrong with agreeing to disagree with your parents and keep it moving, but to just push them to the side when you take on a spouse? That's just stupid.

AGREE.
Yes it is true a wife or husband does latch out to their spouse but you dont suddently forget about your immediate family or place that lower now that you are married if anything it becomes stronger now that you are married. |

He does look old.
I just hope the situation between Usher and his mom has been mended. He would not be where he is without her. |
