Machine gun is a hell of a song! good choice.

& that Run Nigger song... i heard it when i was younger & was a bit scared by the intense lyrics. But it is a great political song

But apperently ole Jimi wrote Machine Gun about soldiers that where using machine guns to kill unarmed black men in Detroit(And probably else where but it just mentiones Detroit)

Also Hendrix was drafted into the army & supposedly told people he was gay to get out of it

Jimi was inspired by the inner city riots and the Vietnam War to write "Machine Gun". I think they talked about that on the Band of Gypsys documentary.

I can agree with Oh Father, Papa & Secret. I am just so glad u didn't put American Life i used to love that song but after recent listens it just sounds like she is trying way to hard to make a statement.

Free Xone is a good one Jesus walks... i almost put So Appaled from MBDTF

They just both remind me of each other a lot!, and Jesus Children of America seems like a WGO song & Save The Children sounds like an Innervisions song.

One thing I'm bothered is why didn't Stevie just go all out like Marvin did on WGO... I guess he used the love songs to get sales?

Every amazing artist has a flaw.. and Stevies is to many love songs. Not just Stevie i personally tire of an album of only love songs. Love Songs.... idk they get old after awhile
