Urkel, the Empress of Soul and one of the Green Bay Packers are waltzing onto Dancing With the Stars.

Family Matters actor Jaleel White, singer Gladys Knight and National Football League player Donald Driver will be among the 12 celebrity contestants on the next season of the ABC dancing competition.

Other famous faces participating in the 14th edition include The View co-host Sherri Shepherd, singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, "Little House on the Prairie" actress Melissa Gilbert and Disney Channel star Roshon Fegan.

The new cast, which also includes tennis player Martina Navratilova, "Melrose Place" actor Jack Wagner, telenovela star William Levy, operatic singer Katherine Jenkins and Extra co-host Maria Menounos, was announced Tuesday on "Good Morning America."

The contestants will dance their first routines with their professional partners March 19 and March 26, and the first couple will be eliminated March 27.

Interesting, since it was The Pips who were known for dancing. I guess Stevie Wonder declined this year. But he did say he wanted to lose weight first.

Tis a shame that our legends feel they gotta do this crap to get attention.

I don't think Ms. Knight needs the cash; she's had a gig at Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas for the past decade. I think its something fun to do too. Desperate is doing one of those, let us see how big of a fool I can be "Reality Shows".

I'd like to think these people do it because they are actually fans of the show. I would NEVER do this for the publicity (I would do other things, though) I would be horrified to be on it.

Yeah. Only reason I groan at Stevie doing it is because he can't dance. Gladys look like she can though. I saw her doing her imitation of the Pips dancing on BET years ago.

It's not $150,000 an episode it's $150,000 PERIOD. Even if "The Empress of Soul" gets kicked off the first night she still gets the $150-G's and she must return for the season finale. So after Taxes and after her Agent gets his/her cut(if she has one) Gladys should deposit about $90-100,000...Not a bad payday plus all the Publicity that comes along with...

Everyone needs to STOP complaining about our Legends doing "Reality TV"....Reality TV is now the mainstream and you either got the "status' to get a deal or you make your money some other way...

Chaka's done reality singing contests.

Patti's done singing contests, cooking contests and had a show on TV1. Patti making that money.

Dionne did"Celebrity Apprentice" and got her $150,000...The sad part is the show painted Dionne as a "mean old lady" and that is not who she is 24/7..I'm not surprised Dionne didnt show up for the finale...Dionne was done and said "I'm out".....LOL...Nobody messes with Ms. Warwick..

Chaka, Dionne & Patti were asked to do their projects and they said yes and got PAID...So don't be mad at Gladys. DWTS is the Number 1 Reality competition during its seasonal run. The ONLY reason I'm gonna record DWTS this season is to see Gladys, Dizzy-Ding-Bat Sherri Shephard and Jaleel White....I will be shocked if the Producers don't ask Gladys to sing....She's gotta sing...

I'm MAD that "reality TV" has taken over television but it is what it is...

I watch every season and this is the least I've ever been looking forward to one. The last two had 2 of my five favorite people in the world (Ricki Lake and Kirstie Alley). The only person I really like on this cast is Martina Navratilova, but she's not enough incentive to tune in when I also have two hours of The Voice on Mondays. Man this cast sucks.

^ Its deep but its real. At first I was like really/why but these factors changed that. I just hope this goes well for Gladys. I got nothing but love for her.

sorta off topic but...the last time I was in Atlanta,I went to Glady's restaurtant and the food was FANTASTC! Catfish and grits!! Yummy.

I LOVE how ABC-Promos is referring to Gladys as "The Empress of Soul" during every commercial...It's about time she got those Propers...

I Lived in the ATL for 5yrs and never went to the 1st Wings & Waffles joint they opened...I still dont know why I missed out...A co-wroker of mine went to Atlanta last week and said the line was out the door but the place was "run-down"....

Gladys Knight will make her Dancing with the Stars debut on Monday night, when the ABC series returns for its 14th season. She warns her fans not to expect perfection out of the gate.

Knight tells ABC News Radio, "I won't be perfect. But I respect so much the dancers and the dances that they do. I will want to give it the proper, whatever it takes to get it done, and done in a satisfactory manner. And that's what kind of makes me a little edgy here. I've got to hold my frame and I don't know if I can."

Knight will be joined on the dance floor by 11 other celebrities, including fellow recording artist Gavin DeGraw. Dancing with the Stars airs at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
