Two days after a Twitter rant in which Love accused Grohl of essentially groping her daughter -- an accusation Grohl denied -- Frances released a statement saying, "While I'm generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I'm in a monogamous relationship and very happy."

Frances went on to add, "Twitter should ban my mother."

damn, I havent seen that movie in ages but I immediately knew who you were talking about..

Obviously it is impossible for any of us to know the truth but when the two people involved in the alleged incident both deny that it happened you certainly need to give them a lot more credence than Courtney.

The blurb about Frances' reaction mentions the word "groping." It's entirely possible that Courtney saw a video/picture of Dave hugging Frances and overreacted. If anyone other than Dave hugged Frances Courtney probably wouldn't care but because of the way she feels about Dave in her mind the hug turned into a grope. Just a possible theory.

Courtney's accusation against Grohl is based on unverifiable info she supposedly obtained from Frances' friends about him. According to her own Twitter comments, she did not see a photograph or video of Dave and her daughter in a compromising position.

As a musician I agree, Dave is technically much better than Courtney. As far as who makes more interesting music I think that Courtney gets the nod. Of course that is a matter of opinion but for all of her faults her music is rarely boring. The Foo Fighters often strike me as being a bit too boring and lacking personality.

The point is that technical ability alone does not equal great art.

"Celebrity Skin" was her "big" album and though it falls short of a classic, it's exceptional.

I never really "got" Live Through This and I always rated Celebrity Skin as the better album. They are two very different albums, one is kind of dark and angsty while the other is very poppy and up. I just feel like the songs on Celebrity Skin are much better.

I always admired the lyrical content on "Live Through This". It was modern feminist, difficult, and felt poetic. There's the long standing rumors that Kurt Cobain was responsible for the content which I always rejected. But now in hindsight I'm not so sure. I mean he might've influenced her writing a lot more then she's willing to admit.

I like Celebrity Skin, but to me the artistic differences between the two albums are like night and day.

She tried with Nobody's Daughter but by that time her voice was shot and it felt like she'd stayed away too long.

But the differences were enough to question. There were ongoing references to babies, milk, female protagonists in particular and a direct reference to a Vanity Fair writer(something in particular I felt Kurt never would've done at the time). Kurts stuff felt maddeningly abstract yet strangely relateable. In other words, her references felt more direct.
