Courtney Love has accused Dave Grohl of attempting to seduce her 19-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, according to reports.

The Hole singer made the accusations on her private Twitter account last night, claiming that her estranged daughter's roommate informed her that the Foo Fighters frontman "hit on Frances." Grohl is, of course, the former bandmate of Frances' father, Kurt Cobain, and has known her since she was an infant.

In a series of subsequent tweets, Love threatened Grohl and speculated on his "pathology," noting that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins resembles Cobain and is in the "submissive drummer position" in the band, and that he named his daughter Violet, which happens to be the name of one of Love's biggest hits.

She later declared that Grohl is "sexually obsessed" with Kurt, relaying information from a driver who claimed that Grohl had "his hands all over" Frances in his car.

This is hardly the first time Love has attacked Grohl in public. Back in November, the singer launched into a tirade against him at a festival in Brazil prompted by her outrage at a fan carrying a poster of Cobain in the audience.

Dave Grohl has responded to Love's accusations in a statement: "Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."

Love's private Twitter account, @cbabymichelle, is currently locked from the public.

Nah. I hate to sound boring, but I've never been into that. I can't remember a time backstage when I've seen a groupie do something exciting. I've seen these other bands eat luncheon meat off chicks' tits but we never reached that level.

Pretty quiet. I'm sure I'll have to speak to her again soon, but it's quiet right now. I read recently that we were having a new feud but if I remember correctly it takes two people to constitute a feud.

I'll always love pre-"America's Sweatheart" Courtney Love, but once her artistry began to lack as opposed to her "entertainment" value, I began to be turned off.

It's telling that she's estranged from her daughter, as well as everyone else.

Exactly, if this story gets any traction anywhere that is SAD, and even more that she took to TWITTER to discuss this, shit not even in a book, TWITTER to talk about your daughter. I know David rarely speaks on any of the Nirvana days, mainly i think he is respectful of the dead and knows that Kurt was great, but had DEEP ISSUES and Courtney basically was gasoline in that fire.

Krist and Dave NEVER talk about Nirvana yet it would be acceptable considering they were actually IN the band. Courtney must have some bi-polar tendancies (she's quiet, then not.) I remember coming across something about Francis saying Courtney was abusive or neglectful of her animals or something.

Now I feel I might've given her more credit for her musical output then was initially warranted.

She passed the point of being the boy who cried wolf a long time ago. In a way that is too bad, if anything terrible ever happened no one would ever believe her but she has no one to blame but herself.

I find it funny that Courtney is being labeled crazy. What if she's telling the truth?

People just mindlessly slag off Courtney Love and I've never understood the irrational hatred toward her, I actually like her.

I don't necessarily think she's lying either, but I do think it's something that didn't need to be discussed publicly.

Her rantings should be treated as nothing more than hearsay until it can proven that an untoward sexual advance did occur. Personally, I think she should ask her daughter because she's risking being sued for defamation by Grohl.

Well, if she is telling the truth people don't believe her because she has a very long history of batshit crazy behaviour, which is completely her fault. Between her and Dave he is the much more credible one.
