One of the best mid-tempo songs Babyface produced and wrote as a solo artist.

It's a shame she hasn't had much success in the 2000s. I think she has the problem as Monica, being that they both peaked too early. When you're on top at such a young age, there's only one way you can go and that down..

All of her albums are worth owning. Never Say Never and Afrodisiac are my favorites.

My theory about what happened to Brandy:

She was a teen idol that got pregnant and then got married. Now I see why they had Janet divorce James (along with other major reasons). It's never the same for the fans after their idols "settle down" so drastically.

Usher is threatening a major comeback, but his marriage and fatherhood hit his career hard.

As for "Sittin..", Babyface kept to the traditional sound of early Brandy: Funky groove.

Well I just think its harder because people move on to other acts.

Thats why these pop stars out now dont take breaks or dont want to lol because they fear fans will move on from them. Well... eventually they do...but regardless a dedicated fanbase will support regardless of how big you are. Brandy seems to still have that but its crazy how she never gets no props the same with Monica. The same with all the 90s act really. I have yet to see a TLC, EnVogue, Babyface, Toni, hell even Brandy tribute or recognition for their body of work they did which is more stronger than anything out now, just my 2cents.

One of my favorite Brandy's songs. I remember playing the hell outta this back in the day.

Brandy doesn't have many songs I don't like tbh though. She has a wonderful, unique voice and makes consistenly good music imo.

Love Brandy.

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Brandy's catolog is sooo strong. Some people never took the time to actually listen to her albums. But she had 3 amazing albums back to back: Never Say Never, Full Moon & Afrodisiac.

HUMAN wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I have a feeling that this new album "2Eleven" is going to be one of her best.

I hate when people compare Brandy and Monica because they are totally different artists. Unlike Monica, Brandy takes risks and her music evolves. She's also an AMAZING vocalist and it's a shame that she doesn't get enough recognition from the general public. But hopefully more people will start opening their eyes and ears.

Babyface actually wrote this song with Aaliyah in mind. It's definitely more of Brandy's style, though!

I thought HUMAN was HORRIBLE, but could have performed better if they had released the right songs.

I hope her new project is good, though.

I think he gave up on it. He has done a few things here and there, but he realized that people didn't want to hear "love" songs anymore.

He's had a few hits over the last 2 years with others, but not anything to write home about (Woo from Anthony Hamilton and There Goes My Baby from Charlie Wilson/Calvin Richardson).

I really enjoyed both singles ("Right Here (Departed)" and "Long Distance"). Might go put that album on right now... music
