That explains it! I did hear that if someone quit drug/alcohol abuse, their body begins growing. Wonder if he stopped drinking just recently.

No, he quit years ago--if he didn't he wouldn't still be alive. He made it clear in the interview I saw that the doctors told him if he had even one more drink he would be dead. I can't remember the date of the TV interview but it was quite a few years back. In fact, he was very thin at the time. One thing I always respected about him, as well as Little Richard--he never apoplogized for being who he was. BTW better a food addiction than the alcohol!
