Good for her for landing this. At least she's working with someone who's hugely successful. In comparison, have you seen who MJ's daughter is doing her 1st film with? Yikes.

It does seem weird that her momma just died and she's out here trying to be famous and shit. Guess she got her daddie's genes in more ways than one. neutral

I just see it as a coping mechanism. And again, being that every person is able to productively handle their grieving process differently from the next. I believe that rather than drowning one's sorrows in other unhealthy activities, this kid just might be one of those people who will be better off having creative avenues and vehicles that allow her to expend energy, exercise a range of emotions, and (hopefully) keep her too focused to fall so easily into the hands of predators who really mean her harm. To me, idle hands are the devil's workshop, and her being in an environment with goals and dreams isn't a particularly bad thing. She comes from a creative family where performing arts are their legacy and clearly held in high esteem (forget about her dad, just look to the elders in her family). If it is true that this is something she already discussed with her mother and family members prior to her mother's death, and she was studying from them and being "primed" to be part of the next generation to carry on "the family tradition", then I say, let her. butterfly

I really doubt if Cissy believes that. I'm tired of people throwing that shit out there. I'm surprised people haven't blamed Bobby for the high gas prices, too.

For real!

Yeah it does seem a bit strange and too soon. I feel like I hear more about her now then when her mother was a live. This could also be because she's not through grieving or not grieving at all. Sometimes when you lose someone you love you do things that don't seem quite right.

How the hell is it Bobby Brown's fault? Damn, Wasn't Whitney a grown woman when she got together with him? Didn't she have a mind of her own? Did he kidnap her and force her to do drugs? I think not.

But what happens when the creative opportunities dry up as they inevitably will in her case? I mean lets face it. She aint her momma in no kind of way. I find it hard to believe she was being primed to carry on the family tradition because...well...she can't sing worth a damn. sad

If The Kardashians & the Basketball Wives & Real not so house wives of Atlanta can make NeNe a star. Then the daughter of Whitney Houston can be one, I'm just saying..

I only think she got this job so she can take her mind off what happened to her momma and possibly get her out of the trouble that helped to cause her mama's death in the first place.

I wouldn't call Nene a star and if she is a star...then that is not the type of stardom I'd want for Whitney's daughter.

Add them basketball hos and Kardashian tricks into the mix too.

The girl's got to have something to do--some sense of direction. This is as good as anything else. Plus it is something of her own for a change. Hope she can make the most she can out of the situation in a positive way.
