Bobbi Kristina to star in Tyler Perry sitcom

Bobbi Kristina is one step closer to following in her mom’s famous footsteps. A little more than a month after her mom’s untimely death, the famous daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown seals the deal on a TV role, thanks to family friend and entertainment mogul Tyler Perry.

Tyler, who spoke at Whitney’s funeral and allowed the Houston family to use his private jet to bring her body back to New Jersey, has offered Bobbi Kristina a recurring role on his successful TBS sitcom "For Better or Worse," according to Straight From the A. 

Bobbi Kristina will be featured in a recurring role as the daughter of one of the stylist’s in the beauty shop owned by TV character Angela (Tasha Smith).

Bobbi has even been spotted on several occasions at Tyler’s Atlanta based studios. Pat Houston, Bobbi’s aunt and her mom’s former manager, sister-in-law and best friend has also been seen on the premise. There's speculation that Pat was there to manage and negotiate Bobbi's contract.

Based on his movie Why Did I Get Married? and sequel, Why Did I Get Married Too?, the sitcom has been picked up for a second session. TBS has ordered 35 more episodes, which will begin airing in July.

News of a TV career is a good look for young Bobbi Kristina. Dad Bobby Brown on the other hand, recently made headlines for a bad role—an alleged DUI.

Bobby’s attorney Tiffany Feder released the following statement: “Everyone is innocent until proven guilty and Mr. Brown was not driving erratically. He was speaking on his cell phone. Mr. Brown has not been convicted of anything associated with this incident. Mr. Brown is taking this matter seriously and an investigation is underway. The legal process shall run its course.”


It is rumored that Whitney’s mother and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy Houston felt her the news of Bobby Brown’s arrest confirmed her allegations that he was responsible for Whitney's demise.

imo tyler perry is doing a wonderful thing by keeping an otherwise distraught young lady busy. hopefully she will be learning about the productive and creative side of the business as she hones her acting skills.

That's what I think too. It's kind of him to offer her a role that otherwise, others would have had to audition for...but if that's what it takes to keep her from going off the deep end and in some terrible situations, then so be it. I guess people really don't take the time to grieve anymore but when you don't, IT DOES catch up to you sooner or later.

That's what I think too. It's kind of him to offer her a role that otherwise, others would have had to audition for...but if that's what it takes to keep her from going off the deep end and in some terrible situations, then so be it. I guess people really don't take the time to grieve anymore but when you don't, IT DOES catch up to you sooner or later.

Some people is best to keep them busy after a sudden death. I commend Tyler. He did this before with Janet Jackson. Right after her famous brother passed. She went straight to Atlanta to film WDIGM 2. He knows how to step in at the right times. Like when he let The Houston family use his private jet to transport Whitney's body to NJ.

Yeah seriously. Ok so Bobby Brown had a relapse. This from what I understand seems to be normal for addicts before they truly get clean. I'm sure Whitney's death may be testing his sobriety at the moment. We don't know what he's going through.

I don't think he ever stopped drinking. He just stopped all that other stuff.

Well yeah I do know that, but still, even after working excessively to avoid grieving, after awhile, as I said, it's going to catch up with you. Prime example is Kanye.

Either way grieving will catch up with anyone. No matter what they are doing.U right about Kanye. But Kanye took a big break for a long while, before he came back in the music Industry. When I met John Legend right after it happen. He said Kanye was holding up well. But it may not have caught up with him yet then. But his lashing out was a way of letting go of all the hurt...

Krissy seems to have a good head on her shoulders. This a good way for her to enter the entertainment business & be watched by Tyler at the same time. He has her good interest at heart. Plus that Pat won't let anyone get near her with her coldness.

I can understand why people would say that. I did read she had attended some acting classes though...

Just cause you got a role on a sitcom doesn't mean you aint smoking weed and snorting blow at the same time. One doesn't stop the other.
