Adele has a shelf full of awards, as well as critical acclaim and adoring fans. You know what else she's got? Lots and lots of money.
On the UK's annual Rich List, published by the Sunday Times paper, Adele tops the list of the UK's richest young musicians, with an estimated fortune of £20M or around $32M.
The paper says her wealth has grown by £14M in a single year. But Adele's bank account could have been even bigger had she been able to tour last year, instead of being sidetracked by vocal issues.
According to the UK paper The Independent, which published an early look at the Times' list, other British musicians under the age of 30 who are in the money include Leona Lewis at #2, Natasha Bedingfield and Duffy, tied at #10, and Jessie J, tied for #14 with several other artists. | |

Oh God no...
She's like that girl who walks into my local nightclub, leaes at the end of the night barefoot, with a short skirt in -2 degrees, shouting at her mate that she wants a burger and to go home because she didn't score and her mate did with some Ben Sherman Rik Waller looking mother...
Though when she sings, it's a completely different story... She's a humble girl who earned her spurs (but maybe not enough for elocution class)...

She's sold more than most people do today and that itself is a feat.That's the benefit of writing or at least co-writing your own songs. Her stacks wouldn't be nearly as high without those songwriting credits, especially not touring much.

Yeah Adele is lucky as hell. No way any other artist would make this kind of coin purely off album sales. She probably has a good contract. If she's smart she'll stay with her small record label. Screw these big conglomerates that cheat acts out of everything. | |
