sad, just sad. I was really hoping for him.

I hope I never have to see El or Chico looking like James and Randy were looking on The Dr. Drew Show.

This is so sad....I was really pulling for him during his comeback, but like the other orgers have said, he has to want to get clean to really stay clean.

But damn....can he at least get out of LA?

Considering he was one of the last persons to embrace Whitney with a hug, a tearful embrace. That should teach him at least something about his problems!

Judging from the flap involving Bunny and her mom last year and their disagreements over what was written in their books as well as the accounts they gave on "Unsung", they definitely don't get along. The boys with the exception of Tommy seem to still admire Mama D.

They still have to be respectful of mom, but I'd bet money that if their mother would just sit down and hug every one of them and tell them she is sorry for allowing these things to happen-it would at least start the healing process. I think she was some heffa who wanted herself a gang of light skinned and curly haired babies and she didn't care who she got them from. She got with an evil man and she let all manner of hellish acts slide because he was white IMO. Yeah I said it! I can't look at any of them and here them talk about their struggles without crying. I cried hard when El talked about losing touch with his children. Glad he is rebuilding some relationships but damn if this latest arrest won't set things back.

I had high hopes that El could beat his addiction. I thought there was much hope because Eldra told use how he became addicted to drugs. My understanding about addiction and treatment is, once you've admitted to yourself you're an addict you then have to tell the truth about everything, past and present. El Debarge never blamed his dysfunctional family on his addiction. If I recall he stated that he took a hit at the age of 25 out of idle curiosity and from there, it was "off to hell." In my humble opinion, "we" need to make sure we know the circumstances of how he got this monkey on his back; not what we want to surmise but what he said about his circumstances... his addiction. I'll admit, I assumed El would blame his late father, his mother, and/or siblings but he didn't. He could've easily gone there but that wasn't the true cause and effect. No matter how hellish his living family enviroment was.

As I've always said, I feel sorry for anyone who gets "caught up" . There's always that percentage of people who for a host of reasons can't shack drug dependency. Maybe the 10th, 11th, 12th ... or 16th attempt at treatment will be it but then maybe it won't. As long as he willing to fight to overcome, there's always hope I guess. All those who know and love El can do is support him but they can't save El from himself.

I'm sorry I just can't get over this. He's reminding me so much of Eddie King, Jr. of the Five Heartbeats. You know he has a problem but you just want to do what you can to help him kick his habit....but like others have said, the only person who can help El kick his habit is El. So all I can do is
