Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/Starship/Hot Tuna Signe Anderson is doing the lead on this 1966 song from Jefferson Airplane's debut. She was in the group pre-Grace Slick.
This is from the 1st Jefferson Starship LP released in 1970.
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Grace was in this band (The Great Society) before Jefferson Airplane, and this is the original version of White Rabbit. Airplane was great in the mid to early 70's
Still mixed on Starship though Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

A cheestastic slice of pro Reagan mid 80's Americana. I still love it. Love the duo vocals, guitars and have always dug Marty Balin's voice. Also like the tempo changes. Reminds me of the E Street band in a round about way.
They don't do them like this anymore LOL. [Edited 4/4/12 13:15pm]
