i think for the mdna tour, without any worldwide smash singles and an album that will probably decline quickly on the charts after its splashy worldwide debut, she should go the route of RIT and include mostly songs from ROL, Music, Immaculate Collection (the ones she DIDNT do on RIT) - she should literally use that exact template using only 5 or so cuts from MDNA a la RIT/American Life. RIT Setlist: The Beast Within (video) Vogue Nobody Knows Me Frozen American Life intro (war and battle) American Life Express Yourself Burning Up Material Girl Hollywood (interlude) Hanky Panky Deeper & Deeper Die Another Day Lament Bedtime Story (interlude) Nothing Fails Like A Prayer Don't Tell Me Mother and Father w/ Intervention Imagine Into the Groove Papa Don't Preach Crazy For You Music Holiday MDNA Tour Setlist: Erotic (sex book version -- video) Ray of LIght Turn Up the Radio Hung Up Gimme All Your Luvin Intro (with Football / Cheerleaders / pom poms) Gimme All Your Luvin Justify My Love Like A Virgin Open Your Heart Girl Gone Wild (interlude) This Used to be My Playground Secret Masterpiece Another Suitcase in Another Hall I Want You (interlude) Best Friend Erotica Don't Tell Me Gang Band w/ Love Spent Man in the Mirror La Isla Bonita Cherish Take A Bow Music Lucky Star

Me too. Don't want to hear 'Music' or 'Like A Prayer' again anytime soon. Hoping she really digging into her back catalogue for some more obscure tracks rather than just the 'hits'.

nod Notice on my setlist,I included rare stuff like "Dress You Up","Angel" and "Causing A Commotion".These are the type of songs I wanna hear.....songs she hasn't performed in decades!

On the recent Jimmy Fallon interview, she hinted that "Physical Attraction" might be included in the show,so that's a good sign.

Madonna Too Scent-sitive for ABC

Madonna’s cleavage is just too much for Disney-owned ABC. The network says Madonna’s ads for her Truth or Dare perfume are too racy to run and have insisted that shots of her breasts and behind be covered up. ABC execs ordered producers of the perfume ad to digitally alter offending shots of her body in the 30-second black-and-white ad, which leaked on the Internet yesterday and shows her cavorting in a low-cut corset and fishnet stockings, wearing a cross and singing over a dance beat, “I’m a bad girl.” A source told us: “ABC viewed the ad [and] came back with a list of changes. They say they want her bra digitally made bigger, and to extend higher to cover more of her chest, and her corset longer to cover more of her bottom. ABC also wants to cut another suggestive scene where Madonna writhes around.” Ironically, Madonna’s team wanted the ads to run during the shows “GCB” and “Scandal.” But even once the requested changes are made, ABC brass think Madonna’s sexy black-and-white ad can only run after 9 p.m. — oddly with the exception of daytime show “The View” (perhaps because its viewers are unshockable). Page Six earlier reported that Madonna’s video for her new song, “Girl Gone Wild,” had to be re-edited after YouTube banned it from open view and slapped it with an “18 years and over” rating because of racy content. A second source confirmed to us, “ABC has requested some changes be made to the content of the Truth or Dare perfume commercial.”

How Madonna Got 'Badass' Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. On MDNA

Producer Martin Solveig tells MTV News about recording 'Give Me All Your Luvin,' 'I Don't Give A' and 'B-Day Song' with three fierce ladies.

As if just having Madonna on her own album wasn't enough, the Queen of Pop enlisted the help of two hip-hop princesses to up the girl-power quotient on MDNA.

As she sat down with producer Martin Solveig to whip up tunes for her latest studio album, when it came time to bring more feistiness to the already-sassy album, she knew the only two artists who could perfectly compliment her were Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. (Maya Arulpragasam). Solveig explained to MTV News how the twosome came to appear alongside Madge on the album's lead single, "Give Me All Your Luvin."

"I had this idea of just creating this sort of mini-gimmick that you could very easily use in the stadium or arena," he said of the cheerleader-inspired chant in the song. "And so I thought of that, which was very basic. ... That was the start.

"In the first place, it was just the intro, and then it became a bit more of a gimmick, and she liked it, and so she thought, 'We should have sidekicks to perform with me on the this.' ... She thought of very naturally Nicki and Maya to perform this because they are badass girls.

"I was very surprised [it was the first single], and then it made it totally sense with her Super Bowl [performance] because, yes, it was definitely the Super Bowl song. And when we started, it was definitely not the case," he explained. "We wanted to do something like this. It was a little surf-y. Then I guess when the Super Bowl was confirmed, they thought it would work for that, and I think it did."

Solveig broke down the recording sessions he and the ladies had for not only "Give Me," but also the scathing "I Don't Give A," which features Nicki, and the funky "B-Day Song," which has M.I.A.

"We were the studio both one day with Nicki and two days with Maya," he said. "They have both very strong personalities and very different. Nicki's very pro. She's like, once she arrives and she spends some time, she writes, seriously, her stuff and then she records very quickly, and she's like bang.

"And with Maya, she's a bit more arty," he said. "I didn't see them together. I would have loved to witness this. Definitely, [Madonna] was definitely the perfect [middle]."

The "I Don't Give A" collaboration got a lot of press, thanks to its seemingly overt reference to Madonna's life and her split from director Guy Ritchie.

"A few days after I finalized the song, she finished the lyrics of 'I Don't Give A,' and I could feel there was a lot of references to her life," he said. "Nothing that I really know of, because you don't know that kind of stuff, but then I saw it was very commented everywhere."

In the end, when it's all said and done, Solveig noted that working with Madge was pretty awesome. "I got a call last year from [her manager] Guy Oseary, and he wanted to know if I was in town working, and that was the phone call of a lifetime when you're a producer, when you heard all the legend and all the story. So I took the next plane and went to meet with Madonna, and I quickly got to work.

"In the first place, it's very confus[ing] because everything that's all together, you have a very kind person in front of you, [and] you're like, 'Can you imagine who you're talking to?' and she's very natural," he continued. "She's very easy-going, so you tend to forget it. But, of course, the first time, it's crazy."

Madonna, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

Madonna Fans Launch Facebook Campaign to Get Tarantino to Direct Her "Gang Bang" Video

27 March 2012

On Saturday night, Madonna told Jimmy Fallon during a Facebook chat that she wanted Quentin Tarantino to direct the video for “Gang Bang,” a track on her new album in which she fantasizes about shooting her lover in the head. And during her Twitter party Monday night, she reiterated that idea, saying, “Someone please tell Quentin Tarantino I want him to direct a video for ‘Gang Bang.’” Well, her fans are now trying to make that happen.

Some enterprising Madonna fans have set up a Facebook page called We Want Tarantino to GANG BANG Madonna, in which they call for the Oscar-winning director of Pulp Fiction to helm her video. The people who set up the page, which already has over 1500 “likes,” write, “There is only one more thing that can make the MDNA campaign even more perfect than it already is – and that is a video for Gang Bang. However, there is only ONE person who can direct it…”

So far, Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary has taken notice of the campaign, tweeting a link to the page, with the note, “This is great!” The next step, say the organizers, is for Oseary to get it linked to Madonna’s official Facebook page: “Guy, what are you waiting for? Post this on Madonna’s Facebook. Stat!! Then Mr. Tarantino is bound to catch wind of this!!” they write.

Quentin Tarantino has already proven that he’s a fan of Madonna’s — the entire profanity-filled first scene of his breakthrough film Reservoir Dogs is a discussion of the true meaning of “Like a Virgin.”

Just picked up album it's two disc.....I'm gonna have to listen to it again, I think I may only like 1 or 2 songs. I'm disappointed cuz I love Madonna.....I'm gonna give it another go, then break down each song. I know for sure the song with Nikki is done for me at one listen...ugh....why.

I didn't hear all the fuss about this album! I was over my friends today and she had downloaded it and we were listening to it over a couple of beers...I liked maybe 5 or 6 of the tracks, but kept telling her "next"! Most of it, to me sounded like some teeny bopper wanna be (ala Katy Perry, Rhianna) It sounded very "pop" and radio friendly. I'm sure they'll release a "MDNA remix album" but for the most part, I wasn't impressed. I prefer "Ray Of Light" or "Confessions On The Dancefloor". I was expecting something more artistic and deep from the reviews I've read. Maybe it'll grow on me, but upon first listen, I'd rather listen to "Ray Of Light"

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

Madonna Scores 12th UK #1 Album/Breaks New Record

By TGJ/KCOOL

Madonna MDNA promo shot bra Madonna Scores 12th UK #1 Album/Breaks New Record

She’s called the Queen for a reason.

Yes, while many would like to write Madonna off as the Margo to GaGa‘s Eve, it appears the former is just as popular today as she has ever been- despite the continuous age bias her cause suffers from.

Because, as of today, she has scored her 12th UK #1 album with ‘MDNA‘.

Details below…

Now holding the record for having the most #1 albums as a soloist, the LP’s success follows the icon’s stint at Superbowl 2012 and the release of the controversial video, ‘Girl Gone Wild‘.

Beating David Guetta‘s ‘Nothing But The Beat’ to the top spot, the album is set to follow suit in the US with unexpectedly high first week sales predictions.

Congrats Madonna have to give credit when its due.....

I do like a few tracks on Hard Candy, but tracks like Spanish Lesson and Increadible can't be overlooked. And for me Like A Virgin is a total throwaway, I really onlike Material Girl and Like A Virgin off of it, and those two singles are only enjoyable for the images they're attached too.

Madonna - Madonna 'Freaking Out' About World Tour

Madonna 'Freaking Out' About World Tour

Madonna is feeling "freaked out" ahead of her upcoming world tour, admitting she has "never worked so hard or been so scrupulous" about any of her shows.

The pop superstar kicks off her latest concert series in Israel next month (May12) and has been working hard to get the shows ready, even breaking one of her fingers during rehearsals.

The Holiday hitmaker confesses she is doing all she can to impress fans at the gigs.

She tells Britain's The Sun, "I have to say that in more than 25 years of performing I have never worked so hard or been so scrupulous. Or freaked out more than I have at the minute.

"There's been lots of cardio and I'm doing a combination of Pilates and dance cardio. And there's been plenty of skipping rope work. The envelope I'm pushing for is as spectacular a show as I can. It should be a feast for the eyes and ears."

However, Madonna admits there is a crowd she struggles to impress - her children.

She adds, "My kids are brutally honest when it comes to what they don't like. They have no tact whatsoever. They'll just say, 'Mum, get that song off' even when (it is) mine. It's hurtful but at least they're honest."
