This was hilarious! (even the Whitney part was humorous, if not a bit too soon - though I doubt anyone would argue her Diva status - this just includes her in on the fun).

Girl, Sista Franklin makes Ms. Ross look like Susie Sunshine.
Women who don't get along with other women (as much as they protest, its "the other") have issues up the yahzoo. Yeah, I said it and don't give me any grief tonight, I'm not in the mood.
I don't get along with women (most) but it is separate from my issues Ms. Trina.
Allow me to make an exception... an appendage if I may.
If you can't get along with Ivy, then some of these women must have serious issues. There fixed it.
I'll speak with you at a later date about all of this. Ivy cracks me up.. "the cynical, pepole will screw you over at every turn" is so totally oppsites of the halo around her. Now I'm talkin' about the girl in 3rd person.
All the speculation about parents seems stupid to me.
Let's be real here - in general women typically aren't very friendly and supportive toward other women. I doubt it even runs that deep in terms of all the mom speculation here.
If memory serves me correct, Aretha had just been in Cali and took her tour bus back to Michigan. She wasn't about to get back on the bus and make that long ass trek back to Cali. Ain't no way!

Probably the most memorable Aretha disses in recent years was Oprah's 3-day weekend Tribute to all the Mainstream Black Female ICONs of all genres...
Whitney was given an invitation but couldnt make it for whatever reason..
That Gathering of the Grand-Master Divas was a ONCE in a Lifetime deal...That portrait of them in Oprah's garden was something to see....A lot of those women have passed on since...Aretha out of all people should have been there. Oprah paid for every damn thing..You know Oprah would have rented her a Posh-Bus...

Oprah sent out those invitations months in advance. The invitation looked similar to a "book" and explained how Aretha would be tributed among the other women....
So Aretha said NO after she got her inviation...It had nothing to do with a clash of Concert dates...Oprah went out of her way to make that 3-day weekend happen...Trust me, it wasnt a last min Party...It was THE EVENT that was planned....

Oprah don't half step...
Yeah Harpo knows her game... if it was last minute, now that would've been something but no this was definitely in ADVANCE.

Daaayyyyuuummm...for real? And Retha didn't show? Dang. I remember seeing the pictures in a magazine. Looked like the event was really nice and something special.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
You act as if Aretha was a no-show, she wasn't expected damn it. She had just left California, and was not about to take that bus back for that long ass trip.
Get over it. Miss Franklin doesn't fly, hasn't since 1983. Why do you think she doesn't come to Cali or points west very often or go abroad? She doesn't fly, period!
Oprah wasn't expecting her, she had already informed her she wouldn't be attending. Geesh!

she probably likes cock too much, the company of men, etc etc and probably sees any female superstar as a competitor, and any struggling young female artist (specially new female soul singers) as a direct menace
I assume this question was spurred by the passing of whitney houston but I don't get why people are on Aretha so much. She spoke highly of Whitney, spoke poignantly and touchingly. I'm just happy she's still alive, I don't get off badmouthing icons like that anymore, we've lost enough to know how dear they were when they were here so,it ain't fun no more.

He tried to WHAT? What were the circumstances that led to this?
Apparently Tina and Bernadette Robi were friends and Bernadette used to ask Tina for advice on relationships. She basically told Bernadette to leave Randy, whom she was dating because Randy was possessive of her, always telling her that her (Bernadette's) situation reminded Tina of Ike. One night, Bernadette was in Tina's L.A. home when they heard all this noise outside, then a glass broke and somehow Randy got in. While others panicked, Tina stood up calmly, went to the back, got her gun and when Randy was fully inside and tried to charge into her, she fired some shots. The second or third shot scared Randy straight because he got the hell out of dodge. Randy tweeted about this last year.
Bernadette is the wife of Sugar Ray Leonard, and ex wife of Lynn Swan, (old school ex football player).
Some of them Jacksons ain't wrapped too tight.
I wondered if that was the same Bernadette. Dang once you get into that circle if you act like you got some sense you just stay in. On the other hand Bernadette has been... How to say this nicely?? "passed around". Wouldn't you say??
