I don't know much at all about this. Someone just happen to post this on her board looking for mor info. Looks like it was filmed early last year because she has lost a lot of weight since this was recorded. Don't know if this was planned for TV, web or what but it looks really cool!

chaka khan's words to fantasia were/are very inspirational. i give chaka to push forward on this endeavor, because many young would be entertainers and others can learn from her wisdom.

also, chaka is so beautiful with her million dollar smile. you go chaka!

Well, I guess we won't be seeing this anytime soon. The Admin on her board posted a message saying the clip was unauthorized to be posted on the internet and no further information could be provided. the link was also removed from her board.

Oh well. Guess it's just another in a long list of anticipated Chaka projects that will never come to fruition. Back in the early 90's, she was talking about developing a sitcom. If I remember correct, they even filmed a pilot for it but it never saw the light of day.

my thing is this

and I'm probably the biggest Chaka stan ever

but...

I remember reading her memoirs and

feeling "unsatisfied" once I finished it

when questioned about her past

she always says things like

she was so high she can't even

remember most of it...

the book didn't reveal anything

that I hadn't already read about

(not anything of shock value)

I mean, if she can't remember

I'm not faulting her for that

but the promise of "sharing experiences"

doesn't make me a believer

however, if this show is coming

I will be glued to the screen

I loved the clip they showed of

her & Fantasia

I'm not all that on Fantasia

but good to see a vet embrace the young girls

instead of shading them *cough*retha*cough*
