Janet's high squeaky voice is annoying, plus she's boring as hell. At least with Nicole and Paula clashed with Simon. I can't see Janet arguing with anyone. She'll just give out boring, generic comments. I can see her now:
"I really liked it"
"Good job you nailed it"
"It was really good"
"My brother would be so proud"
Whitney's diva attitude would have been great for the juding panel, but oh well. |

I'd like to see an older woman like Donna Summer, Gloria Estefan or Olivia Newton-John. They were great guest judges on idol. |

Actually, she's not a mess and it's probably because her life isn't the business. If she's happy and healthy and not interested in making music, I guess that's a good choice for her. [Edited 2/20/12 7:04am] |

You don't have to be a total attention whore and on crack to be 'a mess' professionally...and yes, I as a 20-something-years-and-counting-fan-for-life can confidently say if she is thinking about being a judge on a reality show, she is a mess professionally. She doesn't put her best foot forward. She doesn't shine or do well with things like this. End of. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me |

Isn't that show lacking in viewership compared to Idol and the newcomer The Voice? Simon appears to be a victim of his own success. I think the public in growing tired of these singing competition shows in general. Why join something that's dying? I don't think her presence would be so impactful that their numbers would drastically change. I know it sounds quite pessimistic but I think its the truth. She would damage her brand even more.

That's been the theme of the post - Discipline era. I mean, if you're going to tour smaller venues, just get up and do it - don't advertise that it's "up close and personal." May as well have called the thing the "I used to be able to sell out arenas" world tour. And that mess of a song and those shit movies and now possibly this...I just can't I'll leave it alone babe...just be me |

I'd love to see her win again but whatever she does she can't just go through the motions. Her heart really needs to be in it...whatever that is. I mean, don't even touch a mic if you don't have anything to say, kind of like Terry Lewis told her. |

Hmmm...a singing judge who can't really sing? Hence, J-Lo, Paula and the droves of others who partake in such venues whose voices are thin and basically weak. Case in point is that there is so much talent on this show that can clearly outsing even the judges. THAT says something right there for politics and a lack of TRUE singing "talent." Why not Shania Twain then? RiDICULOUS!!!!!! The TRUE singers today are completely passed over for these "image" singers. It's a sad reflection on the music industry. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. |

Being a judge on one of these shows is a good career move for celebrities who aren't doing so well Look at J-Lo.Her music career was nearly finished, then she gets the 'American' Idol gig and suddenly she's "hot" again.Janet hasn't had a hit record in a decade or so...what has she got to lose? She's now doing weight loss commercials! She should beg and plead for a gig like this.
Janet doesn't need X-Factor for a hit record. Sadly her brothers untimely death has put the focus back on her again. Since she is the only superstar left in her family..People are going to flock to her in search of a yearning for her equally talented brother...Janet will be ok. I hope she doesn't accept it. It will look like she is copying J-Lo.
The late beautiful Whitney would have been a better choice. Plus her sassy no nonsense attitude would have worked better with Simon. She would have put his arrogant a-- in his place. Since she was the best female vocalist in her generation & arguably others. She would been been perfect as a X-Factor judge & a great mentor...JANET DOES NOT NEED THAT SHOW! Her career was already revived way before that with her successful sold out up close & personal last tour..That is an insult to her. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

I wasn't referring to her professional life, which I highly doubt she very much cares about. She has nothing to prove professionally.
If being in the limelight and making music doesn't interest her anymore, then why would she bother? It seems like she's in a good place personally and quite happy, so well done her. She's made her money - I hope she's enjoing it. [Edited 2/20/12 10:36am] |

It wouldnt make a difference. She is way past her prime anyway and those days are long over. What she should focus on now are things that she feels most passionately about whether it be acting, touring or hell even advocating.
She has nothing to prove. J-Lo isnt an icon/legend like Janet nor has had a career like Janet so that wasnt a good comparision someone like JLo needs to do whatever she has to to stay in the spotlight.
shit j lo old as janet so if it does something for jlo whorish ass it could for janet yall kill me wit the age shit

Do you even think Janet cares about making hit music anymore? I don't. Janet doesn't seem like the type who is hungering to be popular again. She's never been a very "public" celebrity.
I hope she doesn't care about selling books either, because I saw the hardcover edition of True You on sale for six bucks at Chapter's yesterday. |

Idk, maybe? If Madonna can still put out hits, she can. But I dont know if her heart is really into making music anymore, I dont know if she's really had the heart for it these past few years tbh. I think she needs to get involved in something that she's really passionate about, but what exactly that is, i dont know. |
