Uh uh honey they better fix that list. I've been watching it and so far I've given side eye to Ashanti, Pussycat Dolls (whats her face was so cute n fake giving props to her former bandmates), Minaj, and Katy Perry...

Like, really? And I'm with y'all. No Donna Summer? No Miss Ross? I know Tina was last year, but come on....MILEY before my Spice girls? My chicks had marketing DOWWWWWN back in the day. I can remember dropping 40 bucks easily at my toy store of choice with my dad just shaking his head and handing me the money...

But yeah, I guess they do have to keep it modern. I noticed they gave a "nod" to Heart and Klymaxx. Unffh. They need to expand this list and then STOP MAKING new ones every year or two.

As soon as I heard this list was gonna come out I knew it would be nothing but a hot stinking pile of This lists are nothing more than online popularity contests. When they put these things online and leave it up to any and everyone to vote well....this is what you get. And most of these votes come from STANS and FANS who tell other stans and fans to go and vote for their favorite artist. VH1 needs to quit with these nonsense BS lists. I mean come on, the Pussycat Dolls, Demi Lavato, Ashanti, Jordan Sparks? Nikki Minaj? And dont even get me started on the top 10. They should re-name this list as the "Most Popular Women in Music of the last 20 years." Or better yet re-name it as "VH1's Most Stank BS Music List Of All Time."

Still laughing at Vh1's last 2 sets of Greatests Artists and Greatest Women. I thought the 'Artists' list was OFF but this one is way worst! Although the original lists(mid & late 90s) were kinda lofty in a way, they were at least respectable. This list is a crock, alot of people in the biz have really lost it.

I HATE Vh-1 lists. I couldn't even make it down the list. The Pussycat Dolls, Ashanti, in the same sentence with great? Such BS.

Really wow b/c they asked other recording acts,etc on the other lists. Why didn't/wouldn't they do that with this list. Very odd.

Madonna's sold over 350 million records, is the richest woman in music, was (unlike Vanity) inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame...and further was voted by the people as the #1 greatest woman in music. Your Vanity comparison (and rant) would be comical, if it weren't so skewed and ridiculous.

Not really because Ricky's been in the music business since 1984, its just the english speaking audience didn't know he existed until 1999 when he crossed over.

They give shoutouts to legends like Diana, Janis and many more on the bumpers that lead in to the commercial breaks, like LadyLuvSexxy said. It makes it kinda better that they are saying its from a certain point! But this list is still stupid! I get the arguments here. But why is Jennifer Lopez so high(personally I dont think she should be on, same with Paula Abdul)?! Better people were left off.

I didnt know that. So they acknowledge that this list is just from the last two decades--they really should re-title the list as the 100 Greatest Women in Music of the past 20 years. Yeah it makes for a lengthy title, but it makes more sense that way.

Looking back at that list I see Cher is on there--her career goes beyond the past 2 decades. Did she make this list because she had a couple of hits in the 90s?
