What are your favorite remix albums?
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Propaganda's remix companion to the A Secret Wish album, titled Wishful Thinking is quite special to me.
UNKLE's Do Androids Dream Of Electric Beats is a glorious 3 disc deconstruction of various UNKLE tracks from their early days up to and including their second platter.
Also, I really enjoyed ZTT's Art Of The 12" compilation from last year, some nice rare material on that, and Vol.2 is out very soon too.
And i'll bet there are not many people know who the fuck i'm on about.

I can't "do" remixes....I don't know why.

I got that Black Box one. I have some of Jody Watley's maxi singles, so that one mostly has stuff I had already and I didn't bother buying it. Never knew these three existed. "Climb in my fur."

This album is still the business! Especially when the "Real Love" remix comes on!

Pet shop boys "Disco 2" is pretty good.
I've always liked "You can dance", the Control remixes and Bobby Brown's remix album.

More Control came out first. I already had it, so there wasn't a point of buying the same thing twice. I have the maxi single for Pleasure Principle. The actual singles have more mixes than the remix albums. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I have the first Disco on cassette. I remember I bought it and the 45 for Bruce Willis' Respect Yourself at the same time. I didn't like Disco 2. I have both of Bobby's remix albums. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I think you guys are leaving out one very important remix album: [img:$uid]http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6195/6071683776_b336a27332_z.jpg[/img:$uid]
You Can Dance aside, I love these remix albums (in no particular order and You can Dance is not no. 1 BTW)

My friend had the Madonna one. It was from Columbia House. I just recorded the then new song on a tape, the rest of it I didn't care about. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Personally I like the remix version of Everybody better than the original

Madonna was so stunning on the You Can Dance cover. Wow. "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

Honestly? I don't even like remixes, never have, much less remix albums. It always seemed weird to me to take a decent song and start fucking with it and doing other shit to it. 비

Not much different than James Brown or The Beatles recording the same song in different arrangements. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I have the Japanese version of this, which has an extra track called Mover not on the US version. I think it was recorded for a commercial in Japan. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I wasn't really into SWV and this is the only thing I bought from them.
I've always thought the mix of I Wanna Sex You Up on here was better than the regular version.
