Didn't catch much of the show except Glen Cambell, straight up pro as always. cool Saw a little of Ms. Hudson's performance and missed Chaka's tribute. Given Timmy's rating I didn't miss much but I don't the Grammy's have shown much in 25 years. shrug

Chaka wasn't on the show, just Jennifer.

LOL blue hair and outlandish, wacky outfits equals Madonna? I don't see it. But I'm very happy for Adele.

The gimmick aspect of it...yes it does.

Nicki and Katy were trying their hardest to out weird Gaga.

Guess what Gaga is still fucking weirder!

Also Katy did not take long to capitalize on her divorce... wonder who that song was about...

Adele sounded a bit nervous but still miles better than anyone else.

I loved Rihanna's performance, until Coldplay came out.

Jennifer did a fantastic job

Am I blind or did they snub Etta James?

Amy... sad

Chaka didn't do a tribute. I think she released a statement saying it was too soon.

And all three of them didn't win jack tonight. Good.

People are simply tired of the bullshit, antics and tryna sell sex... People just want raw talent and good music.

as much as want to believe that being true, i cant. Reason being if you take away Adele, and maybe Bruno Mars, pretty much everyone with talent gets ignored still, ok Katy gaga and rihanna get shut out of awards, but everywhere i look i still see them promoted up the ass, and Katyand Rihanna owning the top 10 singles pretty much. Adele is a fluke, not her talent, the fact that people dig her in volumes, like i said before i have seen thhis movie before where the public jumps on one album and then slowly fades from them. Dont get me wrong i want the public to come around, but when i look at what still sells and gets pushed its getting pushed for a reason, people buy it still, this is why reality tv shows are so popular, things like Love and Hip Hop and other things like that, the public still likes alot alot alot of crap.

But i think the last 10 minutes of this show summed up the future, seeing LL then DIana and then Paul McCartney was like a shot of REALITY to the acts coming out now or popular now, they have to think to themselves, when im 70 like Paul will anyone care about me to close a music show? answer to them NO WAY.

Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt did "A Sunday Kinda Love" but it reminded me of when Lady Antebellum did "If You Don't Know Me By Now" at the beginning of their performance.

You are right but to an extent the Grammys can at least give more merit to the Grammys instead of focusing on sales and popularity. For example, The R&B category... CB should not have even been nominated for that category and instead an artist like Jill Scott should have but despite him being nominated who he was up against had MUCH better R&B albums... El, R. Kelly, Kelly Price, and Ledsi... that was a pretty damn good list of possible winners that had good albums and a good year on R&B stations commercially BUT instead the Grammys chose Chris Brown..

No excuse for that...

These award shows are only catering to the youth market

But what you are saying is right as well... they are only catering to what is popular and accessible so I guess since the public to a degree controls that this is what we have...But just because its popular doesnt mean it deserves 2, 5, 10, grammys... it should be about more than just popularity..

Adele & The Civil Wars (too short) were the best parts of the show.

J-hud did a nice tribute. Some folk (radio personality I think) were on DC news after telecast bitchin about how there needed to be more Whitney tribute. neutral

Hello, she died like yesterday. confused

I know I'm late but I had a statistics test.

Nicki was ridiculous. I thought maybe she watched Madonna's Like a Prayer and decided to try to top that controversy. rolleyes I went to a radio site in Chicago and everyone was talking about her needing Jesus...she's 'messing with the Lord' and she's inviting demons into her life. Mostly they are sick of her. I don't care about all that demon crap...she just sucked period. ill

Adele was great. Jennifer was great. That they didn't mention Don in the memorial was wrong. Never was a McCartney fan. shrug I much preferred John and George. Bruce was energetic. lol And I adore the Foo Fighters! I loved that David said they didn't need all the studios, etc. and they made the music in his garage.

Glen was amazing for his age and deficiencies. clapping

Katy sigh disbelief

Lil' Wayne...wtf was that? confuse

Breezy?? mad Go away.

Overall the show was OK.

I'm probably one of the few people who isn't overly impressed with Adele. But she did her thang last night.

The highlights of the evening for me were Jennifer Hudson and Glen Campbell! I thought he did a great job all things considered. And Jennifer was wonderful. I don't think anyone else could have done a better tribute..

Finally, I, too, think Paul McCartney is way overrated, and for so is Bruce Springstein for that matter! LOL!

I wonder why Prince never performs with any of those guys.. or has he? I think he would have been a great addition to the show..

Most of the performances were pathetic, and for them to come a day after Whitney's death.... Nicki was a complete disgrace, it disgusts me how little black girls run around mimicking this two-dollar hoe. But I guess anything for attention right? It's not funny anymore. She is an embarassment.

And Gaga getting up and leaving in the middle of Adele's acceptance speech once she found out her "album of the decade" lost. Disgusting. She's another annoying somebody.

Carrie Underwood skipped the Pre-Grammy Party because she said she didn't find it appropriate. This ladies and gentlemen is how you act with class and is one of the reasons why I like her as a person in addition to her music.
