Charlie Singleton's "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" getting remastered, expanded CD release!

Dunno about y'all but I've always dug the hell out of this album and all of Charlie's solo albums. So imagine my surprise and excitement when I just found out it's getting a remastered CD release with bonus mixes, in May! Courtesy of Funkytowngrooves who also did the recent remaster of Andre Cymone's "Survivin In The 80's".

Tracklisting:

1. I Wanna Be with You
2. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
3. Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)
4. Spending Money
5. Over My Head
6. Love Machine
7. Vain
8. Too Busy Thinking About My Baby
9. Almost over You

Bonus Tracks

10. Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) -12" Remix
11. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained - Silly Dance Remix
12. Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) - Percapella
13. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained - Silly Dub Mix
14. Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) - 7" Edit
15. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained - Radio Edit
16. Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) - Dub Version

Release Date - May 28th 2012

You can pre-order it here. I will defo be picking this one up.

Wow! I've been curious about this album for awhilenow. I absolutely love Modern Man. Such a great pop/rock funky new wave album but i've heard snippets of the second album and wasn't so impressed. seemed more R&B tome. Is it good? Seems like it was just trying to be like what was popular at the time or am I wrong?

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

I like it at least as much as, if not more than "Modern Man". If you like "Modern Man" I would definitely think you will dig "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" also.

The third album, "Man On A Mission" is great too smile
