Confessions was the last Usher album I thought was any good. I wasn't much a fan of the song 'Confessions', though. I loved 'Throwback', 'Caught Up', 'Yeah!' and 'Burn'.

But his best album, by far was 8701.. and I still consider that one of the greatest albums of all time, or at least one of the best modern r&b albums. The bous track version with 'TTP', 'Seperated', and 'Pop Ya Collar' was great.

Thanks for reminding me about Usher. His last few albums sucked so bad (imo) that I forgot he was once good.

Loved 8701 also and I agree that he has kinda been forgotten and that is sad. Maybe he will get a grip on his recent drama and get back to making music. Usher has always been my third fav artist behind Prince and Maxwell so I wish him the best and yes Confessions the album was great.

I don't know if you're posting from a phone or something, but the links you posted won't play on my computer. I'm guessing it's because you posted from Youtube's mobile site. The links work fine when I click them from my phone. confused

He might not be loved on here but I will always have love for Usher. I think he's still capable of making music like this again but just isn't focused and chasing the pop music (I know he has kids so don't blame him for getting that money lol) I'm actually listening to confessions right now.

Partially the reason I haven't been following anything he's put out recently because he's a pop artist now. Here I Stand was technically the last record where he did anything remotely good R&B (I love the title track).

I liked 'Moving Mountains' on Here I Stand, but I do agree that he's become a pop/dance artist more than r&b. I thought 'OMG' was one of the worst songs he's ever done. Then when 'DJ Got Us Falling In Love' came out, I stopped paying attention to him, as it seemed like he was just going to spend the rest of his career doing dance music. Hopefully he pulls an R. Kelly (love letter) on us and gives another great r&b album.

Honestly Usher was never 100% R&B to me he always had pop elements in his music. Here I stand had some good songs on there but it didn't connect with people I think it's kind of underrated.

He did have a mixture of sounds. The promotion for Here I Stand was a mess I heard.

It kind of was. He was coming off that confessions hype and his ego was massive plus he was married and was going up against Chris Brown (when people loved him).

Two of my favorite Usher songs on one performance. If I Want To & I Don't Know.

I'd say these are two of his funkiest tracks he put out...plus they are catchy and the live performances of these tracks made me like em even more.

Gunsnhalen

I was a HUGE Usher fan when i was a kid. 8701 & Confessions where HUGE & Everyone at my school it seemed was into Usher. Confessions the album came out when i was in 8th grade, the singles where played everyday.

I love

Bad Girl

Superstar

Truth Hurts

Take Your Hand

Burn

Confessons

Simple thing's

My Boo

Caught Up

Great tracks... and Usher sang with some emotion

Usher is getting old and singing songs that i would think His lover Bieber or someone like Katy Perry would sing

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Thankyou I said this previously in another thread talking about Usher. People are making it seem like Usher was an R&B artist. He has always made pop music granted he had alot more R&B sounds in the past. I think his only real pure R&B album was "My Way".

Usher is a okay dancer... he is what we would call as the first MJ swagger jacker out of a shit load that soon would follow.
