They came at her last year too when she first posed PETA spokeswoman Amanda Schinke has spoken out about Janet Jackson’s new BlackGlama fur ad campaign saying the following:

“It’s amazing what celebrities will do when their careers are on a downslide, but we didn’t think that Janet was this desperate. “Surely she knows enough about suffering and unjustified death to recognize that both occur in the production of a fur coat. We are asking her to think again and to donate these stolen skins to be used as bedding for animals orphaned by other human-caused disasters, such as loss of habitat.”

See now they're just bullshitting. Why would she need to wear fur to bring her career back to track? That don't make sense. Sure hate the woman's choice to wear fur but don't act like you think you know why that person wears fur. They tried Mary J. once and she threatened to whip ass if they ever tried to put red paint on HER fur...

Comment on this Article Mary J Blige warns animal activists to leave her coat aloneSoul singer Mary J Blige has warned animal rights campaigners to steer clear of dousing her in paint, because she insists it's her right to wear fur if she wants. The No More Drama star is a fan of coats made from animal skin and refuses to adhere to the concerns of animal activists, including People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA). She says, "Those PETA people don't want to mess with me, they don't want to throw paint on my coat because it's not just going to be throwing paint. It's going to be Mary in the news the next day, you know what I mean? "What gives them the right to destroy someone's coat because their opinion is that you shouldn't wear animals? Understand what I'm saying?

You Stans need to calm the hell down. Im sure JJ and her team were quite aware of the shade PETA would throw at them. This talk of killing off all the furry animals is just batshit crazy.

lol nah it's all good. Of course I don't think all furry animals should be killed or anything like that but if you're gonna protect animals and stuff, my thing is don't attack someone for wearing it. Basically both sides are batshit crazy and of course Janet don't give a fuck and I shouldn't either. Fuck it. lol

Thats what Im saying some of these comments are apeshit crazy... I like Janet.. and am a fan. However, I dont agree with the whole Blackgama campaign because it is like torture what happens to those innocent animals in those fur farms and how they are killed. Animals are easy targets especially babies because their helpless. Noo.. I dont support animal cruelty or killing. I dont see how it should be minimize JUST because their animals. Like seriously, do you people have a soul???

Janets looks great in the photos but I thought it was a bad move as well...its supporting something bigger than herself that has been going on long before she was born. I am sure she is aware of that, whether or not she cares is something else. If she sincerely did I honestly dont think she would promote it by wearing the clothing which in away shows a little bit about her character BUT then I was shocked by the shit she said about Michael after he passed so... true intentions/feelings show through actions. I would think since she made a social album talking about this very same thing that now looks like a contradiction she would do the opposite BUT it doesnt make her the most horrible person in the world and it doesnt make her a perfect angel either...just my 2cents

survival vs. fashion

I occsaionally wear leather, boots and gloves, but I think fur is just gross.

I've never worn fur but I think that the source of where the fur comes from is more important than the fact of a person wearing fur. Human beings have always worn fur and always will. The circumstances of domestic animals bred for the fur trade is important--whether or not they are treated humanely.

I just would like to point that the group in the pic most likely use almost everything from the animal that they kill. Not just the fur and leave the rest to rot on the ground.

my thing is Peta took a cheap shot at Janet... If you Google Rihanna or Beyonce in Fur all these pictures comes up and those girls are wearing MAJOR furs..but these girls are still charting so they can't come at them the way the did Janet..

I love Janet. Have done for as long as I can remember.

But I'm shocked and disappointed in her for this. She ought to know better.

I heard of at least one lifelong fan who sold his entire Janet collection on eBay after he found out about this, and donated the money to animal rights organisations.

They wouldn't over populate if we killed as many as we need. Animals serve purposes in nature. Everything goes to together. Humans have severly weakened the environment and considering most humans aren't domesticated what do you suggest we do with them? Ignorant.

This what gets me so upset with Peta and people who think like them.. Who are you to tell her or anybody what they can or can't wear? I'm not a fan of FUR but it's not any bussiness of mine if the next person wears it... It's not Illegal to wear FUR!!!!!

Right. If I was gonna choose between real fur or fake fur, I'd wear the fake. Who knows? Maybe Janet wore fake, who gives a fuck? I doubt most vegetarians act the way PETA does...

I can’t stand them dictating on what people should be wearing. Smh

Exactly. It's one thing to advocate against something, it's another to be a dictator about it.
