His version was the first one I heard (during the beginning of Wonder Years). After hearing the Beatles' original, it didn't make me change my mind lol

Same here.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
I never really liked this version that much. It's alright, but I like the Fabs' better.

Beatles for the win. Joe always freaked the shit out of me when I saw him sing live on tv.

I kept reading people joke about him going into eplieptic seizures. John Belushi of course imitated his performances. Then Joe was on the show performing with John.
I'm a huge Beatles fan, but this one has never been a favorite (no, Ringo shouldn't have been singing solos in this group). I've actually grown to appreciate the original the last few years. I give the edge to Cocker here, but I'll take the Fab Four for "... Bathroom Window."

I saw him on an SNL repeat when I was younger, and having at the time never heard of Joe Cocker he freaked me out, literally. I kept waiting for him to fall down and the medics to come on stage and drag him off.

That's just the way he performed. Luckily he don't perform like that anymore though.

I like Ringo's voice. It works for the types of songs he sings. Ringo was singing before he joined The Beatles when he was in Rory Storm's band.

That and lyrically it works for Ringo to be the lead. The man has taken flak since day one.

Pete (Best) forever! Ringo never! Some fans attacked the group when Pete was sacked. George got a souvenir.

Lyrically, it definitely makes sense for him to be the lead on this song. But it still would sound better if, say, George had the lead.
As for Ringo's singing voice, the only Beatles song where I really enjoy his lead vocals is "Octopus's Garden."
