I'm sorry but I think Michael totally upstaged Diana in this song-even if he only did background vocals for the most part.

Michael's voice in this song is everything especially at the ending! Mike sounds so good ahhh lol. Love him.

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Michael should have recorded this by himself.

Yes! I agree

The song would have been better if MJ had just recorded it himself

I've always liked this song. However, deciding to release it as the first single from that album was a huge mistake. I know they were hoping it would really be successful because of Jackson's presence. But, the fact is, the song was way over-produced. As Randy Taraborrelli pointed out in his Diana Ross biography, Diana ignored one of the main things Berry Gordy taught her. She actually recorded a song where her voice was muffled and the lyrics were hard to understand. Although the song managed to crack the Top Ten on the R&B Singles charts, it only managed a meager #77 on the Pop chart and marked the beginning of the end of her Pop career in the United States.

Why aren't The Bee Gees credited? razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
