Beth Hart rocks!

I went to a concert of Beth Hart in Paradiso yesterday and loved it.

Never heard about her before, so went without really knowing what kind of band i was about to see.

I danced all night, saw musicians who were well trained and had fun performing together. The atmosphere was so energetic and their solid fan base made the night one to remember. The band really gave it all, had fun and played around.

I love concerts like that. Lift up my mood for weeks.

Does anybody know Beth Hart over here at the org?

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I saw her when she toured with Jeff Beck in '06:

Didn't think i'd enjoy her in that setting based on some of her material i'd heard.

But as it turned out, she handled the Rod Stewart vocal parts quite well.

She currently has an album out with guitarist Joe Bonamassa...

Thanks for the link to your thread. I enjoyed reading your review.

And yes, now that I've seen her live I understand how she can work Rod Stewarts' vocal parts.

She's really good. And her current band too. The bandmembers each did great solo's. I really like it when there is time and focus for every instrument and member individually. That only works with selected audiances though. Yesterday the audiance was 60% between 35 and 55. Then 20% younger and 20% older. Really mixed ages and a music loving audiance. It's great when an artist has build up a loyal and apreciative fanbase like that.

Why thank you. Glad you enjoyed the read.

That sounds like it was a very good show.
She must have built that fan base by doing good live performances over time.
This is the way it will be done for "artists" in this new music dynamic.
No more fast fame (there will be exceptions) for those in it for the long haul.
