Ok,so I'm a huge Fishbone fan and I have seen Dr.Madd Vibe perform impromptu madness to mind blowing effect. However,I hadn't,until recently, actually purchased and consumed some of the recorded works. How foolish was I. Damn! This cat is a genius and definitely ain't "from 'round here". Whoa! I just bought everything I could find.Right now, The Medicine Cabinet(full length cd) and Madd Vibe En Dub(instrumental cd of his cuts) are rockin' me day and night! This stuff is crazy and infectious simultaneously.

The Medicine Cabinet cd is,as I saw described, a "Mardi Gras party". It is so bright and colorful and wacked out.Yet,it's funky! There are elements of ska,funk,punk,...whatever. It is a gem for those who are soldiers already or are open-minded.

The En Dub cd is a collection of instrumental versions of songs from his,I believe, four Madd Vibe cd's. I think there will be a new one coming soon . It rocks all on its own. This dude is ridiculous,for all the right reasons. He works so hard and he is so good and underrated. He plays all the instruments and I have never heard basslines being played like this from a horn. Sick!!

I looked up videos on youtube of him live and there are a few really good ones. There is also one that I highly recommend that is Angelo perforing with The Roots, as Angelo from Fishbone. They do "Freddie's Dead" and Angelo tears the roof off!! If the audience didn't know him before, they loved him afterwards. Dude should be bigger and should be independently wealthy,if he's really not. Fishbone should be one of the most successful,financially, bands ever. They have already made history in music. They need to be in the RRHOF and more of a household name ,no doubt(no pun intended).

Please, do some research on these guys if you have not already. You owe it to yourself and they deserve the effort. Peace!
