Who Is Your Alternative To Prince? If you want to hear some "Prince-esque" type music, but not from Prince himself [or his protege's], Who do you listen too?[And feel free to post videos of them if possible. I'm curious to know what others consider to be "Prince-Like" without him actually being involved with the music itself]

Hi Tittpants, if I miss Prince vocally I listen to stuff from JOEY'O. His new album LOVE N HOPE is out on itunes, amazon etc. This guy hits the falsetto almost like the master himself ... Personally, I like his 2 previous albums better, because they include some more upbeat material but Love N Hope is enjoyable, too.

Use the org search engine and look up "Name Songs With A Prince-ly Sound....But Didn't Come From Prince".

ween.
they're as eclectic, and definitely disciples of the funk. they're kind of tongue in cheek, most of the time; but they are seriously talented.
