Did Ice Cube Really Get Beat Up By Cypress Hill?

Wait so did Ice Cube get beat up by Cypress Hill and their homies over a damn song? I was talking shit about Joe Budden and a couple other rappers who write checks their asses can't cash and was told that my imaginary baby-daddy Ice Cube got the hell beat out of him by B-Real and his crew. This can't be right. sad Impossibly ghetto.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

The story is in one of the Beef episodes. If I remember correctly it wasn't Cypress Hill themselves but one of their fans/supporters that caught Ice Cube on the street, beat him up and stole his Westide (?) chain. Then Cypress Hill pulled out the chain in one of their concerts.

eek Wha????? So they ordered him to get beat up or something? I thought I was being lied to. Where was Ice Cube's entourage when this happened?

I don't know if it was ordered but the guy that did it apparently knew there was beef over stolen song lyrics between the two artists. And yeah I think he caught Ice Cube on his own...

The "beat up" part is bullshit. But everything else in that story is 100% correct. One of Cypress Hill's fans snatch and stole Cube's gold chain during an all-out brawl that involved a lot of people.

Considering Ice is a big guy, I doubt whoever snatched his chain was that big enough to beat him up.

Are you kidding?!? Ice Cube was THE only member of NWA that graduated from an university. You know the average "gangsta" don't have a college degree! lol

Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, & MC Ren only graduated from high school. And Crip gangmember Eazy-E was a high school dropout making his living as a drug dealer. As a matter of fact, Ruthless Records was created with Eazy's drug money.

Things could have gotten real serious. Them Surenos(Hispanic gang members from southern california)started talking about doing real harm to Ice Cube. It started out as a rap beef but they(surenos) turned it into a racial thing(black vs mexican). The funny thing is B Real was from a blood gang and not a Sureno gang. Theres a lot of tension between some blacks and Hispanics in los Angeles. Its mainly between gang members but innocent people are getting killed as well. The Mexican Mafia controls most hispanic southern California gangs and they basically started a race war against blacks in LA. Theres more Surenos than Crips or Bloods in LA but they( C's and B's) are just as dangerous.

Snoop Dog also had some problems with this Sureno gang over some Rap lyrics. One dude from the gang posted a video on youtube. He was talking crazy about blacks, and Snoop Dog, while his homeboy was posted up with a shotgun.

The Mexicans were cool when 2pac used to mention them. But that was so 1994. Now in 2011, the Mexican gangmembers want San Diego AND Los Angeles all to themselves and are not ashamed to run the Bloods AND Crips the hell out!

They will never get Beverly Hills. EVER! lol

Thank God i never became a validated gang member. One day i woke up and thought to myself "Whats wrong with you dummy? You like to rock out to Slayer yet your trying to be a gangster ? " Plus i've seen what that life does to people(death and Prison)and i wanted no part of that.

I'm glad you thought real hard and long about your decision. Gangbanging is a no-way zone... I myself never even entertained that fact because I knew what it would cause.

It's all about money and drugs. The hispanic gangs in Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, and to a lesser extent Nevada have the numbers, the drug connections(thru mexico)and the structure, therefore they are the dominate criminal group.

Over the last 20 years the hispanic population in general grew and with that, the hispanic gang population grew. A lot of the hispanic gangs in Southern California got bigger due to illegal immigration and that added to the problem.

I had a friend that got stabbed in the chest by a gang member, his lung collapsed and he almost died. The guy that stabbed him took off to Mexico and was gone for years. He finally came back to the States but he was never prosecuted. I also had a friend that got murdered in los Angeles by a gang (Florencia 13). They killed him and put his body in the trunk of his own car. This happened years ago but as far as i know no one was ever brought to justice. You hear a lot of stories about gang members killing someone and heading to Mexico so that's a problem that needs to be addressed. I'm not at all implying that illegal immigrants, immigrants in general or hispanics are bad because they're not. What i am saying is that gangs are a destructive force period, But hispanic gangs probably more so because they have more organisation than say Crips or Bloods.

As far as black gangs the Gangster Disciples seem to be the most organised and they are huge but they're not in California. Motorcycle gangs and some Japanese gangs are organised but they don't have the numbers that most street gangs do.

As far as the Racial stuff TonyVanDam is right. It didn't become a factor until the 1990's. Before that the Mexicans and Blacks (gangs)in Los Angeles got along good. That racial stuff is only a problem in Southern California. Up here in Northern California the dominate hispanic gang is the Nortenos and there is no tension between them and blacks. Thank god.

Another thing about about Hispanic gangs in California, los Angeles in particular, is that some of them have been around for a long time. One hispanic gang in LA, i thinks its called Dogpatch, has been around a little over 100 years and two other gangs(38 street, and White Fence)have been around close to 90 years. Black gangs started in LA around the 1950's but the Crips didn't start until around 1969 so the hispanic gangs have more history than the black gangs in California.

Its unfortunate that gangs have taken such a hold on society and it seems that it's only getting worse. The situation needs to be addressed by our goverment and society as a whole.
