Released June 6, 2006

the song was released as the third single from the album by Warner Bros. Records on June 6, 2006. The decision was spurred by the fact that "Get Together" was the third most downloaded song from the album. It was also released to coincide with the start of Madonna's Confessions Tour. Inspired by Stardust's single "Music Sounds Better with You", "Get Together" portrays an anthem-like picture with its lyrics, about the different possibilities of finding love on the dance floor.

Contemporary critics appreciated the song, calling it fluid in nature and a wonderful dance track. They complimented Madonna's ability to turn cliché comments into pop slogans with the song. After its worldwide release, the song became a success on the dance charts of the United States but failed to enter the official Billboard Hot 100 chart. It reached the top ten in countries like Canada, the United Kingdom and Italy and topped the chart in Spain.

The accompanying music video incorporated Madonna's performance of the song at London's Koko Club, but it was animated to make it different visually. The video showed Madonna singing the song amongst graphical visuals portraying volcanoes erupting and a cityscape. Madonna performed the song on her Confessions Tour where she was accompanied by two dancers wearing horse reins around their head.

Her 3 best singles of the 00s - Jump. Hollywood & Get Together - all missed the Hot 100. wtf? but garbage like "4 Minutes" hit the top 5...

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I'm not a huge fan of this era. I love only like half of the album. but the tour was genius! Definetly up there with Girlie Show

One of her most satisfying eras lol I especially like the fact that she was paying homage to disco music.During this era,she released two of her finest singles ever: "Get Together" and "Jump".

when "Get Together" and "Jump" flopped in the US,that's when I realized that there's nothing wrong with the music....there are other factors at play. Those are two of her finest singles ever. The problem is that US radio simply thinks she is too old.If those two songs (and "Sorry") had been recorded by a younger artist, they would have been Top 10 smashes. That probably pissed her off, which is why she recruited Justin Timberlake for "4 Minutes" and Nicki Minaj for an upcoming single. There was no way that US radio could ignore a song like "4 Minutes",lol.

what the tours since post Drowned World Tour are missing is Madonna's interaction with Donna DeLory & Nikki Harris

Confessions Tour is my favorite Madonna tour.

I'm still sad that I couldn't go, I was 11 years old. My mom didn't want me to go the concert. razz

This is definitely one of her most powerful performances ever.

Confessions is my favorite Madonna album after Ray of Light. Love the album, the look, the remixes... This era is also her very best in terms of outtakes. "Keep the Trance," "Fighting Spirit," "Superpop"... music

The tour isn't complete without it. One of the best performances she's ever done.

I just replaced my copy and will keep it in the car. Confessions is an album I can play start to finish and takes me back to my final year of finishing uni. I would do all my final papers and have it playing in the background and it kept me upbeat.
