Any one here big fans of them? I started listening to them recently of course I always knew their songs but I never paid much attention to them.

To me, Sons of Soul is a 90s r&b masterpiece.

yeahthat highfive House of Music is their magunum opus. Hands down! Just a shame that they were disintegrating during the recording and release of the album. You can hear it all unfold on the record, if you listen closely.

You mean one including Raphael Saadiq. He doesn't want to do a reunion for fans he only does them for family get togethers so D'Wayne & Tim moved on & replaced him with a high school friend of theirs Amar Khalil. Raphael is the holdup of all original members getting together but the other two not holding their breath.

I might be the only one here that feels this way, but I much prefer Raphael solo.

Nah you ain't the only one. A few years ago I would've said he should reunite with Tony! Toni! Tone! but he made the good decision to leave.

They were responsible for my brothers and I buying our first guitars.

Lay Your Head On My Pillow and Wild Child are genius songwriting and

I'd stack Sons of Soul and House of Music against any R&B album.
